00:21Christmas time gets a little tight in budget.
00:34I've got three kids, so things with the presents and everything and family to buy for.
00:40Food kind of ends up down the list a bit, so this is always really nice around Christmas time.
00:51I'd say I expected a bit more.
01:04Maybe that was me expecting too much because things were really, really hard.
01:09But I have seen a change in some things, so that's a positive.
01:15And I'm hoping to see some more changes here soon.
01:19It's definitely only a year into his term, so I'm going to kind of hold off a little bit before I really give my full judgment on things.
01:28I expected a bit more, but I was very, very hopeful that things were really going to just kind of go back to what they were, I'd say, before Biden.
01:38But, yeah, I can't think to, I can't get myself though to truly think that that was really going to happen if things got pretty bad.

01:50I mean, I'm a realistic person.
02:19And I'm not just going to follow along somebody like a sheep, you know, I'm just not going to do that.

02:30I think I'm a ton of metal off of a line.
02:44Certainly I'm a lot more cautious at the grocery store.

03:06We buy less of things.
03:08We're very conscious about food that we throw away, you know, that we buy too much.
03:13And then to eat out, we try not to eat out at all because the cost to go out to dinner and those kind of things have become substantially more expensive.
03:21Fuel is expensive.
03:23I mean, everything is just, never before in my life have I felt the impact of inflation.
03:31You know, your wage would rise.
03:34I can measure it with the cost to live.
03:37But right now inflation is off the chart and wages aren't going up.
03:42So, it's a pinch.

04:10I'd like to see people be able to afford the things that they want.
04:20I would rather see the government tax or the government obtain, raise costs and things
04:27that aren't the basic physical needs.
04:30You know, the things that you have to have, the diapers, the formula, the just meat and
04:35cheese and things.
04:36If we could control those costs in a way that it didn't affect the lower end of our economic
04:43scale, the things that people have to have, and we transfer some of that inflation to things
04:48like luxury cars, for instance, or maybe things that people splurge on but they can go without,
04:55I think that would probably help ease some of the pressure that I think American families
05:00have right now.
05:06So, let's go to that side.
05:18We're going to do that.
05:22We didn't get here overnight, and so we just have to have some grace, and I understand
05:48the struggle with everybody as well as myself, and I wish he would take that into accountability
05:59and do more things quicker, but I don't know how that end works.
06:04I just know that hopefully he's going to do it soon.

06:48That is the opportunity in the general, is to frankly pair Mike Rogers with Donald Trump,
06:58both wealthy guys who don't know what groceries are, who don't understand the real challenges
07:03that people face in cost of living.

07:38I think inflation has gone significantly down.
07:52I think the last time I read, and correct me if I'm wrong, it was maybe 2%.
07:58The previous three, the previous administration, it was nine.
08:03And so the inflation has gone down.
08:06And I know here, you can go out to eat, you can go out to dinner, and the prices are significantly lower.
08:16And so I really don't think that inflation is a huge point for people.
