12:36you know unfortunately some of them are gone now so sports kept me on the right
12:40track and you know I definitely wouldn't be here so you know I'm grateful sports
12:45is a good way to stay out of trouble as a kid I think for me it kept me out of
12:48trouble you know I played division one college football a big part of that is
12:51because of my dad he pushed me there were lots of times where it was
12:55challenging I set the bar really high for myself and and I have high standards for
12:59myself I expect to do well and if I don't I get frustrated it seems like we're
13:05all coming from just drastically different circumstances to lead to the
13:07same place you know I really feel like we we have such a bond it's become a
13:12brotherhood really quickly you know I appreciate you guys for that it's rare
13:16and it's it's special I'm gonna miss you all as you keep going one by one

13:56perform the same script your challenge is to make the scene uniquely your own the
14:02scene will be set at a Mary Lane mingle with all the chaos that happens when
14:07you bring neighbors together each group will have to decide who plays which part
14:12and how you will bring the scene to life through your energy your choices about
14:16what you do and the way you interact with each other it's all on you it's a
14:20hunk production okay I like that I like that we're looking for great teamwork and
14:25while you will work and act together we want you to each find a way to shine
14:29individually and to join the fun this Hallmark star is an actress and producer
14:34you've seen in movies like Santa's Summit and holiday touchdown a chief's love

14:41she is hallmark royalty I'm so excited to be doing this scene with her I'm so excited

15:51and decide how you want to play your scene then you will just have 10 minutes to fill Hunter in
15:56before we call action Davey since you and the festive face-off you're gonna sit with Melissa and I
16:02while the other group goes first okay here are your scripts determine who's playing which part
16:08and think about bringing the scenes to life all right good luck think about casting have fun

16:20dude this thing is a comedy of course it's a comedy absolutely funny so the scene we have to
16:31perform today is about two brothers at a neighborhood party meeting their sister who's bringing a boyfriend
16:38for the first time and we have to choose who's gonna play who obviously brothers yeah uh boyfriend
16:47absolutely any preference on man one or two man two right away says dude and I feel like you say dude
16:54yeah that was like all right there you go this is a comedy scene so in order for that to come through
17:00you have to have fun like our we're brothers yeah like that has to come across I think so too yeah
17:06that brotherly banter that football slapping your butt the towel type thing yep and then uh you're this
17:12outsider who um you know let's put you to the test buddy yeah you know bring it on I don't have a sister
17:17but I could imagine growing up I had an older brother and a younger brother we're always giving
17:22each other a hard time joking around so I'm hoping to kind of bring that out in this scene all right
17:27casting is there anyone that drew you guys to anything maybe have us be brothers you guys
17:33riffing off each other yeah yeah yeah so I'll do man one and I'll be man two I'm jealous that you'll
17:38get to be hunter's boyfriend but you know what you know I think you'll be really funny in that part
17:44okay okay I like it yeah I think you can take it yeah no I can take it I can take it being the new
17:48boyfriend meeting the siblings and the family I feel like I've done that before and I felt like I could
17:54relate to that character the brothers do something devious to mess with man three and ruin the picture
17:59a leading lady snaps the photo you have to have the joke of the ruining the picture epic yeah oh
18:05absolutely start thinking of ideas like how can we ruin the picture so probably like she's had a lot
18:12of other boyfriends that she's like brought home in the past yeah we're always so judgmental because
18:16we care about her we love her she's our little little sister i think so yeah so the last few years
18:21i've gotten some really incredible opportunities to direct everything from new plays to big musicals
18:28where are we wanting to set up the scene right we can we could probably make a setup here at the table
18:34yes and i can walk out of the house right there i just want to make sure that he's going to be able
18:38to hear right we can the lines i think that it's incredibly important to be able to throw ideas in
18:45the hat and figure this thing out together that definitely seems like the best shot right this
18:50seems like the most yeah yeah reliable place we could frame it up here and you just walk off
18:55over into this corner or something along those lines so that if you don't actually have to leave
18:58my instinct would be that someone needs to be the director so i do have experience doing this let's
19:04just let's just like go through it and just talk through the story a little bit we're trying to get
19:08all of this down in a very short amount of time but we have to all be on the same page and that's like
19:15what is happening like what is going on right now coming up yeah we're so happy to meet you
19:22i want them to feel more like brothers yes are you guys gonna do the shake really quick too
19:26between the two of you that was the moment right that's okay that's okay how did we forget that one

20:08of pressure to you know tell hunter kind of what to do because if she's not comfortable in the scene
20:13then it's going to make everything else fall apart so my brothers yes my boyfriend okay all right what
20:18are we thinking yeah so originally we were thinking that maybe this was a really good spot but now that
20:22we have a better layout and understanding of where the background actors are and how the food is
20:27established it's starting to feel like maybe our primary scene should actually be up here in front
20:32here okay right i feel like i have a really good understanding of how we should be moving into the
20:37scene and out of the scene to make sure that we're getting the the shots right for each of us in order
20:42to tell the story let's put these drinks over maybe on this table right here sure rustin took charge
20:49you have to think in a team mentality you're only as good as your weakest link so i want everyone to
20:55shine and bring it who is like your guys's leader right now is there like one designated leader
20:59between you guys is there someone that's kind of the director of the group or is it kind of a
21:02group project right now it's like a group yeah contributed a significant amount yeah robbie has
21:07ideas that he's bringing to the scene and i have ideas that i'm bringing to the scene and it's more about
21:12just us navigating how those ideas work together you guys want to run this really quick yeah let's give it
21:17a shot what's up who brings eggs to a christmas party deviled eggs they're classic and what did
21:25you bring brownies like a normal person okay rustin and i have developed a backstory that i'm kind of
21:32like the tech brother who's like really always working all the time on his phone and he's maybe
21:36like the music guy who's a little bit more artsy and so it's a fun kind of specific dynamic that we've
21:41created really great to meet you guys um yes okay so shane these are my brothers thanks for letting me
21:47crash the neighborhood block party knowing that the boyfriend role doesn't have as much screen time
21:52as the brothers roles do i have to make sure that all the screen time that i have really counts
21:58if you're comfortable with it because it says like a cute sweet moment like a little like nose thing
22:03like before we walk away sure yeah so be like a little little nose yeah okay i'll be right back and
22:09we kind of talked about like a look between the three siblings like we all know these we all have a
22:13little bit of a little cookie left in the mouth okay in this challenge it's so important to bring
22:17our own creative perspective to this and so i'm hoping that our ideas will play out really well

27:43feel like comes with a little bit of extra pressure there's probably going to be some expectations to
27:48perform for the photo and that's this photo vomit however big you can you know without like disrupting
27:53the scene so i kind of hashed out some last minute things to prove to myself and to everybody else
27:59that i belong here hi guys hey ladies hey davy your team has 10 minutes to rehearse okay perfect good
28:06luck now is there like a leader is everyone working together as a team working together
28:10as a team yes yeah okay yeah all right i love it do you want to show me what you guys have planned
28:13so far for sure yeah going into rehearsal i'm not worried about me i want to make sure my guys are
28:20going to shine if they start shining hunter and i are going to shine before we start the rehearsal
28:26we need to find our marks because we have our cameras yeah we should get our cameras and this is
28:33the why i helped co-direct this short film having that experience i know how to hit certain marks
28:41and make sure the camera can see us she'll end right here and here in the way we both have our cameras
28:46so it'll be kind of maybe one of these lines sure i'm more or less letting angel dictate a lot of the
28:51situation with this scene take the lead cool let's run it that way we don't waste more time okay cool
28:56and i feel good about us ready yep i want to immediately establish the fact that we are brothers
29:03so we decided to improv a couple lines at the very top of the scene nice outfit man did mom dress you
29:08up in that yeah probably you uh got a blazer you're running for office or what's going on watch camera
29:15what's going on craig and davy yeah if you don't mind good do your scene to your cameras set this up
29:22and find a moment that brings you back here looking at the space so then when we come in
29:27you don't block our campus yeah you have to find your camera so you can see the faces i'm starting
29:33to sweat not because of the weather but because of how this is going to turn out nice outfit man mom
29:40dress you up in that yeah probably there is a lot happening here it's a group ensemble a bunch of
29:46dialogue are you guys gonna do the shake really quick too between the two of you that was the moment
29:51right that's okay that's okay because i gotta reference your shake how did we forget that one
29:56i'm just hoping that i can latch on and do the best i can and shane these are these are my brothers

30:07i baked them myself the success of a scene isn't just about one person it's about all of us so craig and
30:13i are kind of trying to lean into the playful brother act without being overly obnoxious everybody

33:39after davy's advantage really helped us out and i think we crushed that scene but robbie rustin and
33:45marcus they're really strong so i mean this is a coin toss as far as like that selfie moment i was
33:50pretending to spill my drink on angel and i actually like spilled a little bit of it after we were done
33:55with it i was like i hope my hair is okay he was a great sport about that let's talk about team one
34:02robbie rustin and marcus i felt like marcus did a really good job playing that boyfriend role
34:07because the other two brought a lot of energy and a lot of strong choices i do wish marcus maybe
34:13brought up his energy just a little bit like you said in that nervous match the room a little bit
34:18robbie did feel like he was overacting i wanted maybe to see that more um i actually love my sister
34:25a little bit of a real moment like you know what we love you a little bit more of that yeah agreed now for
34:31me this was the first time where rustin and robbie i felt were disconnected in a scene and i think
34:37it's because they had a little bit of a challenge with the leadership of this scene it just felt
34:43like there was some sort of power struggle happening let's talk about team two davy craig and angel
34:50there was a few times i thought that davy could have um reacted more and stayed in it and filled the
34:55space because craig was giving him so much comedy so much gold he could have reacted to the other
35:02actors more in that scene agreed yeah agreed craig came in hot i think he's so funny and you know i'm
35:08a sucker for a funny guy the faces he made the choices he made did mom pick that out that was
35:14really smart i love that it established their relationship immediately he felt super present i
35:18felt like that the whole time from him i i really enjoyed his performance and what about angel he was a
35:24great team player yeah the one thing with angel is i think sometimes he can lose a little bit of
35:31the momentum in the scene uh-huh we have a big decision to make but unfortunately one of our
35:39guys has to go home no good luck with that good luck hunter oh yeah we're leaving this decision no you
35:46stay right you stay right here bye bye now bye bye yeah let's go bye bye bye hunter have fun making the
35:52decision all by yourself i think we get rid of jonathan right no okay
36:07walking into each elimination now there's no more feeling safe there's no more feeling confident we're
36:13getting down to the nitty-gritty and anyone could go at any time hello gentlemen one of you will be
36:20named this week's shining star and one of you will be headed home for the holidays in today's star
36:26quality challenge we asked you to work as a team help each other shine bring your own twist to the
36:32script and show us your star quality all while staying connected to each other and your incredible
36:38co-star hunter king hunter how do you think the guys did i think they all did a really great job it
36:44was so much fun getting to work with them and watch them grow as actors there can only be one shining
36:49star tonight and that person was a team player used their gift of acting to elevate their co-stars
36:59and the person that added comedy along with believability when it came to portraying brothers
37:09the winner of the star quality challenge and tonight's shining star is
37:16craig congratulations
37:26i think you really shined in that scene and you had great instincts
37:30i thought i was gone man i've been doing this a long time now you audition and you audition and you
37:42audition and you audition and you audition and you audition it gets exhausting yeah well congratulations
37:48you were very very funny in this scene thank you thank you angel and davy you're safe
37:58rustin marcus robbie one of you will be going home
38:07okay robbie how do you feel this challenge was for you today right at the beginning i thought that
38:12there maybe should be one voice but then i thought actually for this it was really nice to work
38:19collaboratively with my team for us all to have a say rustin tell me about the part you played in
38:25your team i felt that uh robbie and i were really in sync there was a lot of overlap that made it feel
38:30like we were both really like on the same page i felt like marcus was such a team player and he had some
38:36great collaborative recommendations and i almost felt like watching you guys interact with each other
38:43gave me that thing to act off of okay yeah that makes sense rustin
38:53robbie will you please step down
39:00in today's challenge you both were at fault for competing with each other when we asked to work
39:04as a team that leaves us to judge you purely on your acting in the scene today
39:10and one of you out acted the other just by a hair
39:17one of you will be going home right now
39:21i'm not ready to go home i want to stay here my palms are sweaty i'm so close to having
39:28a dream like a slip through my fingertips unfortunately
39:32robbie it's time to take your stocking down you're going home for the holidays
39:47this has been like a life-changing experience you have been such an important person to me for so long
39:53and to have been picked by you to come here is beyond my wildest dreams
40:00and i just want to make you proud
40:03you made me proud and you made our community proud
40:20that means the world to me yes
40:21give it up for robbie
40:29love you robbie the thing that i didn't know about being here is just how close i was going to feel
40:34with the other guys they're so wonderful and to be accepted by all of these guys is so meaningful
40:43i know it seems cliche but you have to follow your dreams you have to go do it you have one life
40:48you have to shoot for the moon and if you miss you'll land among the stars
40:51i didn't make it to the moon but i'm definitely landing among the stars
40:58we're at the stage now of splitting hairs so you've got to bring it to every challenge
