00:00so over here you can see that I have this particular content right here and let's say

00:10I want to go ahead and then change the format of something right here but I want to go ahead and

00:16replicate that format other places as well so for that if you want to repeat out some actions you

00:22can use something called a macro so for that you need to have the developer tab turned on and to

00:28go ahead and have the developer tab turned on simply right click on a ribbon area and then go

00:34to customize a ribbon then simply go ahead and enable the developer right here tab right here

00:39and then you have the developer tab as you can see so over here what you can do is record out a macro

00:45for example I can go ahead and select a cell click on record macro right here and press ok right here

00:52just like this and now I can go ahead and see like it says stop recording so whatever I'm doing is

00:58now recorded so I can go around over here let's say for example add in a background color let's say

01:03change the um let's say color up the text bold this out right here so I can go ahead and do whatever

01:09I want so now let's go back to the developer tab and click on stop recording right here so once you

01:16do that if I were to go around over here you can see that this is the macro right here so let's just

01:22go to macros and you got macro one right here let me just go around over here right here now so I'm

01:27just going to go to the other section and then go to macro and run you can see that the same thing

01:32is repeated I can simply go around over here onto macro run and the same thing is repeated you got

01:38the background you got here let's say for example the text bolded out right here the colored and so

01:44forth so that is simply how you can go ahead and then record and run a macro in Microsoft Excel
