Thousands of Argentine workers took to the streets to protest against President Javier Milei’s proposed labour reforms, voicing anger over changes they say would weaken worker protections.

The demonstrations, led by trade unions and labour groups, highlight growing opposition to Milei’s economic agenda, which aims to overhaul labour laws as part of broader efforts to deregulate the economy and attract investment.

Protesters argue the reforms could make it easier for companies to fire workers and reduce collective bargaining rights, while the government says the measures are necessary to modernise Argentina’s economy and address long-standing structural problems.
