Metro Manila Film Festival kicks off with Parade of Stars

The 51st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) kicks off on Dec. 19, 2025 with its annual Parade of Stars, turning grey skies into a dazzling display of color, music and fanfare. Thousands lined the route from Pasay to Makati, braving the rain to see their favorite movie stars wave from eight spectacular floats representing this year’s eight official entries, which will be shown exclusively in cinemas nationwide from Dec. 25 to Jan. 11, 2026. The festival’s awards night is set for Dec. 27 in Makati.
