00:30...and beyond, with the wonderful cast and crew of Downton Abbey, a new era.
00:36Here we go, and three, two, one, action!
00:44Well hello glorious people, and welcome to the glamorous world of Downton Abbey.
00:48Now I'm here exploring this incredible location to get a real feel for what makes Downton special to audiences the world over.
00:55So stick with me, and you might even hear about some of the exciting new locations we can expect to see in Downton Abbey too.
01:03Mary dear, will you take your father to see the attics? I don't think he's been there for quite a while.
01:10It's so weird how such a fancy building feels like. It's your house, and it's really, really not.
01:15The house is a character. When you turn round on that drive in, it's just stunning.
01:21I'd still have to kind of go, just take this in, take this in.
01:24If you got used to it, it'd be really weird.
01:26Oh yeah, there's another day at the office.
01:27Another day at the castle.
01:28Yeah, here we go again.
01:29Yeah.
01:29For the first time, we take the Cawleys overseas, and we go down to the Riviera.
01:35I've come into possession of a villa.
01:37What?
01:38What bit didn't you understand?
01:40I've loved seeing footage.
01:42Not all of us got to go to France.
01:45I hope you'll enjoy your stay.
01:49The house is very much open plan.
01:51It's colourful, it's bright, it's breezy.
01:53We're looking at completely heightening the palette.
01:56It's really sort of refreshing and exciting.
01:58The scenery is absolutely stunning.
02:04It's perfect.
02:05We've created a style for Downton, and that reflects the Cawleys, and also Carson and Mrs. Hughes.
02:11Why not open the place to the public and have them poke and pry in every corner?
02:15What's so amazing is you walk on the set and it's exactly the same.
02:19Cup of tea for Mr. Algris.
02:20I've just made some.
02:22It's just like you've gone home.
02:23There was always quite a theatrical and cinematic quality to Downton.
02:29The architect did this as a dummy run to do the Houses of Parliament.
02:33Yeah, not bad.
02:34And it's all paper mache.
02:35Crazy.
02:36It's become one of the most famous historic buildings in the world.
02:39I think it's ours.
02:40I think we should live here.
02:42If that's an invitation, I would happily join as well.
02:50I have to say, I have had a truly incredible time at Downton Abbey.
02:54I mean, look at the place.
02:55It really is extraordinary.
02:56In fact, I think I want to stay here for a little bit longer.
02:59I mean, surely they've got a spare room and I know the garden's bigger than mine.
03:03Well, thank you for watching and I'll see you next time.
