We talk with Alan Miller about Culture Collide 2015 and party with Yetis.

00:00Culture Collide is at the Hard Rock in Palm Springs.

00:03So excited!

00:04Because we've got Yetis and your buddy.

00:06Alan, yay!

00:07Yeah, we're going to talk to him about his thing and the whole deal.

00:10Let's go.

00:10Okay.

00:14For those of you who don't know, Alan used to head up Filter Magazine.

00:17That was his magazine, and he ended that last year to start Culture Collide.

00:21Tell us a little bit about it.

00:22Thanks.

00:22Well, Culture Collide is really about inviting and creating your new favorite artists.

00:27We don't want to exclude anyone.

00:28We want to discover what are the best music, food, travel from around the world and bring

00:31it together.

00:32So we have festivals that we do in LA, San Francisco, New York in October.

00:35And then we also have our new publication, which is Travel With Purpose.

00:39It's all about artists telling you where you should go when you go to their city.

00:42What can we expect from it tonight?

00:44This is a big night for us.

00:45So this is the kickoff party that traditionally we throw every year where it's about people

00:49that love music and it's about people that want to see bands and really kind of warm into

00:53their weekend.

00:54So this is why we call this year Not A Pool Party.

00:57So it's not your typical, hey, we're hanging out by a pool.

00:59This is three great bands playing, DJs all night.

01:02It's a really fun environment.

01:04And we actually are raising money tonight.

01:06We're doing a live painting and we're raising money to auction that off to give to people

01:10that are underprivileged who live in the Coachella Valley.

01:12We have the one and only People Mover, who is a band of Yetis.

01:18The band Dorothy is another great band from California.

01:21And then we also have Elephant, who is from Sweden.

01:24And she's in the new Apple campaign and is amazing and blowing up.

01:28So we're super excited to have her here.
