00:07Hey guys, it's Medina for Hollywood Life, and Renaissance man Donald Glover just announced
00:13he will be doing his first and possibly last arena tour as Childish Gambino.
00:17The future EGOT winner, I'm assuming there, will be traveling to 13 cities in September
00:22to either perform his Grammy-nominated album, Awaken My Love, or his final untitled project
00:27before retiring his music alter ego.
00:30While many Gambino fans are excited about the tour, Gaga's little monsters will probably
00:34be boycotting after their queen was slammed in his latest interview with the New Yorker.
00:38Donald was talking about racial inequality and supposedly said to the mag, I went to school
00:43with white people who had less talent than me because I'm talented as fuck and they're
00:47doing way better than me.
00:48I went to NYU with Lady Gaga.
00:50Gaga's fans were very triggered claiming that Donald didn't need to disparage her to champion
00:55his own career.
00:56Some of them were just so angry at Donald that he would even think that he's at the same level
00:59as Gaga.
01:00But let's dive a little deeper.
01:01What set Glover off what's the situation with the Grammys where he says, CBS ran Grammy ads
01:06this week and I'm one of the hotter acts.
01:08Okay Donald, maybe getting a little full of yourself, but let's hang in there with them.
01:12He continues, and they had a visual of performers on the show, Lady Gaga, Pink, and me, only they
01:18showed some black kid from a fan video, it's not even me.
01:21Donald revealed he was bothered by that ad and almost didn't perform.
01:24I was like, fuck this, fuck them, I'm not gonna do the show.
01:28The sad thing about it is, I'm gonna do it though, because black people don't get the
01:31chance very often.
01:32So maybe Donald shade towards Gaga wasn't necessarily about her or her talent, but how he feels that
01:38black entertainers have to work twice as hard for equal recognition.
01:41But still, was it necessary to dump on Gaga to make this point?
