00:00Welcome to Shusha, Azerbaijan's cradle of culture, known for its creativity, its artists and the
00:14landscapes that inspired them. So Samaya, you're going to highlight some of the cultural things
00:26we can see and do here and what better place to start than Shusha Fortress. Welcome to Fatale
00:31City, Shusha, Nathalie. Shusha was very famous for the silk, for the carpets, for the horses
00:37and lots of traders used to come to Shusha and these gates were opened early in the morning
00:44and were closed at night. Samaya took us on a short ride away to Jeddah Plain which overlooks the
00:52Shulte Gorge. I see the number of the tourists visiting Shusha is climbing because they come
00:59to see, for example, Jeddah Plain. Look at this beauty. It's incredible. Yeah, this is really
01:04incredible. This is a magnificent place and this is a history. At the same time, there's a fairy tale.
01:11Just round the corner lies the Waggif mausoleum. It stands as a place for quiet reflection,
01:17honouring one of the poets that shaped the city and was built using Shusha stones. Waggif was a very
01:24interesting and very creative person. He was advisor of the second king of Karabakh, Shusha. But first
01:32of all, he was a very talented poem and this place is very unique because every year Waggif poetry nights
01:40are being celebrated here. All poets from different regions of Azerbaijan come together in this place.
01:51I've come a few kilometres out of the city to be closer to nature again. For thousands of years,
01:57water has been flowing through these rocks at Chatter waterfall. It's sometimes referred to as an umbrella.
02:04We've walked over two kilometres to get here and my word is enchanting. Shusha has given the world
02:12remarkable talents and one of the most celebrated is composer Uzair Hajibeili. The museum preserves the
02:18atmosphere of his home, offering an intimate look into the life of an artist whose work continues to
02:24influence generations.
02:26Zéir Hacibaev musicias, Zéir Hacibaev Yaraçılığı dünya musicias, dünya bêstakarlarına elê gözal tövbələr baxch etmişti ki,
02:361907-ci ilde Zéir Hacibaev Azərbaycanda ilk opera yazmış və bu bütün dünyaya sess almışdur.
02:43Ən əsasdə onun bir neşə dilə tərcümə edilmiş Azərbaycan xalq musikisinin əsasları kitabı hamı tərəfindən sevilir, oxunulur və yazı masasının üstündə olur ki, hər zaman ondan istifadə etsinlər.
03:00Music continues to play a key role in Şuşa today.
03:04Mugam is one of the region's most iconic art forms.
03:07It's an enduring tribute to the city's musical tradition.
03:13Şuşa's carpets are a work of art filled with symbolic patterns unique to this region.
03:20We're exploring designs that represent centuries of creativity.
03:24Qarabağ xalçaları öz rəkçələrləri ilə, öz ilmələrinin çıxılığı ilə və üzərindəki olan naxışlarla, digər bölgələrdəki olan xalçalarla fərqlənir.
03:33Misal üçün, bu xalçanı götürsək, bunun üzərində biz Xaribülbül güllərin motivlərini görə bilərik.
03:39Xaribülbül əsas, Şuşanın əsas simvollarından bilidir.
03:42Və bu ancaq Qarabağda toxunan xalçalarda istifadə olunurdu, Xaribülbül gülləri simbolu.
03:47Seeing these carpets up close really show the artistry of Şuşa.
03:52The colors, the techniques and the storytelling are woven into every thread.
03:56We're continuing our journey at the Govar Aga Mosque, completed in 1752.
04:02It reflects classic Karabak architecture and craftsmanship.
04:05This mosque has been carefully restored in the spirit of preserving the past and building the future.
04:13Şuşa's cuisine is shaped by the region's landscapes, its seasons and its long-standing traditions.
04:19Today, I'll experience flavors that are simple, warm and connected to local culture.
04:25Bugün sizə bir neçə təamlarından tanış eləyəcəyik.
04:28Ən özəlli şuşaplovumuzdur ki, şuşaplovu boyanadan hazırlanır.
04:32Düyünün içində oyuqlar açılır, oyuqlara qonaq sayı qədər yumurtalar çırpılır.
04:36Öz yumurta öz formasını dəmdə alır.
04:39Our time in Şuşa has revealed a city full of artistry, talent and beauty.
04:44From the past day to the present, this city is alive with pride, passion and creative energy.
04:50It's been inspiring to witness.
