00:00It's great being here because the man I'm going to introduce I've known for 45 years.
00:08Billy and I, we have worked together, we played baseball together,
00:14we complained to each other on the phone a lot.
00:19And the first time I met Billy, 45 years ago,
00:23he was cast to play my best friend in an episode of All in the Family.
00:30And I figured Norman Lear knows what he's doing.
00:36He was smart. He said, so he cast me as my best friend.
00:40I said, so let's, I guess that's what we should be.
00:42And so we, from that day on, we've been best friends.
00:45And it's worked out pretty good. Pretty damn good.
00:49But we watched, we watched last night, you know, when Harry met Sally.
00:57And I hadn't seen it in like 25 years or more.
01:02And, you know, I just forgot, you know, you forget how wonderful Billy is
01:08and how wonderful he is with Meg.
01:10And, you know, when I think about 45 years, I think about this guy,
01:17this guy who went from Catch a Rising Star driving in from Long Island
01:25with Alan Zweibel, wondering if he's ever going to be anything,
01:29getting fired off the first time he was on Saturday Night Live.
01:33They cut him out. He was done. He was done.
01:37And yet, look where he is. His feet are going in the cement.
01:45Now, Bill, I got to tell you, when you put your feet in the cement,
01:49take them out.
01:51Because otherwise, you're going to be in there forever.
01:54And it could be the end of your career.
01:57Or we could put you somewhere.
01:58Anyway, I'm really happy to be here.
02:01Billy, two years ago, Billy introduced my dad and myself.
02:07And we had this great honor.
02:09And I can't think of any greater synergy, completion,
02:15whatever you want to talk about that I can get to do this for Billy.
02:18Because I do love you, Billy.
02:21I always say this about Billy.
02:22I'm going to say one thing.
02:23He's the most regular, real comedian I've ever met.
02:29I'm serious.
02:30Because, no, a man who can make people laugh,
02:34who's clearly the best host of the Oscars ever, without question,
02:41and that he can have a great marriage.
02:46What are you coming up on, 50, Janice?
02:4949.
02:49They're going to be married 49 years soon.
02:53And two great daughters.
02:56They've got Jenny and Lindsay.
02:57And they've got four great grandkids.
03:01A regular comedian.
03:04Rare in our business.
03:06That can do that.
03:07Anyway, I love Billy Crystal.
03:09I'm so happy to be here, Billy.
03:11Ladies and gentlemen, Sir William Crystal.
