00:04Hey, what's up? It's Tierra Weck, also known as Elemental.
00:07I, uh, actually go by Elemental.
00:09She's powerful, she's strong, she knows what she wants.
00:13She's like a trailblazer. It just felt like it was made for me.
00:16Have we met?
00:18I'm Ella, the girl who's gonna win this fight.
00:21We first approached Robert about the idea of a new character in the game.
00:26The team reached out and they were like,
00:27Hey, we were thinking about doing this, and what was really cool about it
00:30was that it gave Cory Walker and I an opportunity to, like, create somebody new.
00:34Kind of the way in to the character was a ridiculous-sounding name.
00:39Elemental! Look at that! That could be an Invincible-type character.
00:42The name originated with him.
00:44With that comes the element-based power set,
00:48to where then I go and design the character based on that.
00:52And there's a lot of, like, intricacies to how the character works
00:55that comes from Cory's design.
00:57I just started throwing stuff on her,
00:59and it was important that it was, like, asymmetrical and just cool-looking.
01:03Cory gave us this awesome design,
01:05and that was kind of, like, the base at which we started with,
01:08and we started just digging in from there.
01:12After we got the concept from Cory, we got a killer backstory from Robert, too.
01:16The Invincible Universe's thing is that everyone has terrible parents,
01:19and so, you know, very much specifically made Elemental have nice parents
01:24and a constructive, like, family dynamic.
01:27The core of her character is this, like, happy, very bubbly, outgoing personality,
01:33and it really comes across in her voice lines.
01:36One of the most exciting things about Elemental is that we were able to cast Tierra Whack,
01:40who's an amazing performer and musician, to play Elemental in our game.
01:45Music and voice acting is pretty similar.
01:48I mean, I'm always in the studio recording music,
01:50so, I mean, it's the same environment, just having a good time,
01:53just being my crazy animated soul.
01:55When I stop you, know that it's for your own sake, too.
01:59When I was reading the role for Elemental,
02:01it just felt like I was reading about myself.
02:04I relate to her so much. We're like twins.
02:05She's also solution-oriented, which I really relate to,
02:08because I'm always the one who's trying to figure out how can we fix this problem.
02:12Elemental is a really fun character. She has a really cool design.
02:16She's got the rock and lava hand,
02:18and then she's got, like, the plain hand where water comes up.
02:21She has the ability to throw giant rock, shoot fire and water.
02:26I think we did a good job at making sure that every element felt seamlessly integrated.
02:32I think it's something that makes her just a joy to look at and play with.
02:38She has so many different cool moves.
02:40We've tried to use each element in a different way.
02:43She, like, dashes using wind.
02:45Other abilities are, like, to summon a fire and arc it at the opponent.
02:50If she crouches down, she can kind of spread a wall of fire across the ground.
02:55She has a forward special that's a water bullet.
02:58The nice flow that she has when she's building up the water has a nice juxtaposition
03:02for when she just blasts it out and shoots and it's just a devastating hit.
03:06Her main special is sort of lifts up a big boulder out of the ground.
03:11That she can use to basically block other incoming attacks.
03:15And I believe she can also smash it, like, towards her opponent.
03:18And it can launch peoples in the air and then it shatters out of the way
03:22and she can, you know, juggle them from there.
03:24And it's a really colorful character.
03:26From her supers to her specialist to her ultimate.
03:28One of the coolest moves that she has in the game is her ultimate attack.
03:32We wanted that to be the big moment where all four of her elements come together.
03:36Let me show you what the elements can do.
03:46You won't escape!
03:50There's a lot of work, but it's gonna be so much fun to play.
03:53Spend a little bit more time with her kit.
03:57Really get used to the ranges, especially her normals,
04:00because she's got a lot of utility in those.
04:02You really want to balance out some of her short range versus long range capabilities.
04:07Use her aerial moves to create some distance between her and the opponent,
04:10but also just to dish out some damage from a distance.
04:14My dream three tag team would be Rexplode.
04:18I love Rexplode and Adam Eve.
04:21Elemental is gonna be fucking rad.
04:23You're gonna want to play her.
04:24You're gonna want to go lab her for a while.
04:26Pair her up with like your favorite characters.
04:28She's a great addition to any team.
04:30She is probably my favorite character.
04:33Just have fun with her.
