00:00We made it to the end of the experiment. One of our brides did some baking to celebrate the big occasion.
00:13Lee has created a disrespect cake.
00:16Hmm, disrespect cake sounds like it would taste quite bitter.
00:20Meanwhile, Keir dusted off his A-level French skills in his vow renewal.
00:25Très bien, Keir. And the good news just keeps coming for Rebecca.
00:31I have found the man that I've been searching for.
00:34She'd been working on that Where's Wally book for ages.
00:37I'm Lucinda Light and welcome to Maths UK. It's official.
00:49Later in the show, David will be here to tell us about his beautiful journey with the gorgeous Keir.
00:54And we'll be joined by expert Mel as we present the prestigious Maths Awards 2025.
01:00But right now, Bimini is in the studio.
01:05Hello, babes.
01:06Hi, you gorgeous creature. Now you're outrageous because you have just got off the plane from Australia.
01:12I literally did land a couple of hours ago, came straight here, ready to dissect, ready to get into it.
01:18It has been good, hasn't it? So you have been enjoying it entirely.
01:22I have been enjoying it and I feel like it's so interesting to watch people in a relationship setting and the breakdown of it all, especially when friendships get involved.
01:30Either their evolution or their crumble.
01:33Yeah, exactly.
01:35And I'm like watching it like, I don't know how I would be.
01:37I look at it and think like, am I the toxic one? Maybe.
01:40So I want to get to know you a little bit better.
01:43If you were married at first sight, what would your complete package in a partner be?
01:48To be fair for me, it's not about gender. It's not about sexuality. It's about the human.
01:53Obviously we have physical attractiveness and what we, but then that can change so much for me.
01:57Like I feel like I'm very open to people's, like the nuances of beauty and then what they are.
02:04And I think everyone could be sexy.
02:06Oh yeah.
02:07You know, I think sexiness is not an aesthetic or a way to look.
02:09I think sexiness is an attitude.
02:11Yes.
02:12And I think if you've got that, then let's go baby. Let's get married at first sight.
02:15And you've got it in spades.
02:17So here's another one for you. What would your dream destination wedding ceremony look like?
02:23A city, a beach, a country estate?
02:25So Kate Moss had a three day wedding.
02:27Yeah.
02:28So I feel like that, that's like the calibre. It's like, I want a three day wedding.
02:31Do you love a festival?
02:32Like a mini festival.
02:33Yes, thank you.
02:34Like two of my friends got married this summer and it was the most beautiful gay wedding.
02:38It was a two day affair and it was just pool party on the second day.
02:41Like it was so much fun. Like three days on a beach somewhere gorgeous.
02:45Stay, immerse, let's have a journey.
02:48Where would you want to go on your honeymoon?
02:50Oh, honeymoon. I feel like I'd like to go to the islands of Bimini in Bahamas
02:54because I've not actually been.
02:55The islands of Bimini in the Bahamas.
02:57I go to my namesake.
02:58Yes. On a boat.
02:59Oh yeah, exactly. Like go for a little cruise around there.
03:02Where else is there? Like Fiji and places like that.
03:04All that whole South Pacific.
03:06Yeah.
03:07Four couples chose to renew their vows. Let's start with Abigail and John.
03:12I mean, that was, that was, that was obvious it was going to happen.
03:15They like loved each other.
03:17It's just a fairy tale.
03:18Yeah.
03:19Isn't it?
03:20They really just adore each other.
03:22She of course said that John is the love of her life.
03:26And these guys said that they're already talking about the step of moving in together
03:30in a family.
03:31I just wonder, is it Bournemouth or Wales?
03:33Yeah.
03:34She's a Bournemouth girl, isn't she?
03:35That's the difficult part though.
03:37It's like figuring that out.
03:38Like you can meet someone and be in love with them and like have all this amazing time.
03:42But like, especially with this experiment, it's like, but then your lives, like how do
03:45you intertwine with each other's lives?
03:47So the fact that Abby and John, I mean, it was, for me, it was obvious that they were
03:50like kind of, they were besotted by each other.
03:52Besotted.
03:53And I felt like you saw it coming.
03:54Yeah.
03:55I mean, this is the first time I think really Abigail's been in love.
03:58Yeah.
03:59You know, and felt so deeply loved.
04:01But, you know, that geographically challenged thing also wraps into, of course, Rebecca
04:08and Bailey, who, again, are so into each other.
04:11Yeah.
04:12They're talking about family.
04:13I think for the first time, Bec's actually considering a move to Hove, potentially, because
04:18that's where Bluebell is.
04:19Mm-hmm.
04:20You know, so maybe she might be relocating from Liverpool.
04:24What are your thoughts on these two?
04:25I mean, I think that they were a great couple and I think Bailey was just, as a human, I
04:30just think he's so nice.
04:31He just seems really genuine and up for a laugh.
04:33Yeah.
04:34I could tell that he's like a good person, like his soul is.
04:37I think he was genuinely really hurt when she picked someone else, like who she could
04:42marry or like who she fancied, because they had obviously agreed that they wouldn't do
04:47that.
04:48So I think seeing his sincerity and how genuine he was, like, he was like taken back by
04:52that, but then they moved forward, I think, like, it's great to see the potential that
04:57they have.
04:58Mm-hmm.
04:59I mean, it's a really tricky one, navigating, like, you've got your life in one place, like,
05:03how do you uproot it?
05:04Like, how do you just go, like, and change?
05:06And, yeah, and I feel like, especially if it's not someone that's like really hot and
05:09like gorgeous, like you're moving from like one place in England to another.
05:13Yeah.
05:14It's like, ugh.
05:15So tough.
05:16So tough.
05:17But, you know, I'm really wishing these two all the best, because they are gorgeous
05:20together.
05:21Yeah.
05:22Yeah.
05:23And, of course, Kira and David recommitted to one another.
05:26And David's going to be here on the couch to tell us all about it very soon.
05:30Can't wait.
05:31I know.
05:32Me too.
05:33I'm very excited.
05:34Let's talk about Leisha and Rhys now.
05:36Oh.
05:37Leisha's such a honey and I think she was so devastated, so broken hearted, because
05:42they'd renewed their vows.
05:43Yeah.
05:44But when they got to a reunion, obviously it hadn't worked out.
05:47Yeah.
05:48I think there were people who are in Edinburgh and, you know, one was flirting with this
05:51person and the other was flirting with that.
05:52This is it.
05:53That's it.
05:54I think that was the obstacle that got in the way straight away.
05:58I think when you remember when they were flying back from the honeymoon and obviously Leisha
06:03got drunk and was like chatting to the guy.
06:06I think that really threw him off.
06:08I think it threw Rhys off early on.
06:10So I think they were getting on.
06:12Definitely.
06:13And I think just very different attachment styles.
06:16Yeah.
06:17Let's call it that.
06:18He seems more chill.
06:19Yeah.
06:20And also very worried that he would be pressured in relationship.
06:23And of course, she's quite worried that Rhys would run away.
06:27Yeah.
06:28You know, so very...
06:29I kind of low-key feel like she's me though.
06:31She's like my spirit animal.
06:32It's like, can we be a bit more spontaneous in the bedroom, please?
06:35I'm like, yeah, like three times a day.
06:38Let's go.
06:39He's like, I'm not a machine.
06:41Yeah.
06:42And we'd like to do it on time.
06:43Yeah.
06:44In the bed.
06:45That was funny though.
06:46That made me laugh.
06:47I get that though.
06:48Cause it's like, I get what she was saying, but it's, it's really, it's great to see a
06:50woman being like, you know, I'm sexual and I'm empowered here and I want to take control
06:55in that way.
06:56Yeah.
06:57And I'm going to name her and ask for my needs.
06:58Yeah.
06:59And let's talk about Lee and Leah.
07:01Cause they had a pretty rough vow renewal.
07:04They didn't leave on good terms at all, but it was very earnest on the couch.
07:09I think they both really genuinely apologized.
07:12You know, Lee said, I have my walls up.
07:15Leah was so gorgeous.
07:16She jumped in and went, Oh, I'm, I could be really painful.
07:19It's not just you.
07:20But I think it was a nice sort of reconciliation.
07:23I think jealousy got in there, seeing someone that's like very chatty and can be kind of a charismatic
07:30to people.
07:31If you're threatened by that, then that's something that's quite difficult in a relationship to
07:35have to navigate.
07:36You want to trust your partner to be able to speak to anyone and also like say someone's hot or say someone's fit.
07:43You know, like, I think like that shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as it's good intentions.
07:48So for me, for them to not renew, it made a bit of sense.
07:52Yeah.
07:53And there were further revelations at the reunion.
07:56Julia, Ruth and Joe got matching tattoos that said, why not?
07:59Like, what the hell is going on, by the way?
08:02Like, where did that go?
08:03Who paid for the holiday?
08:04Where were we staying?
08:05How did it even happen?
08:07How did it happen?
08:08But why not?
08:09You know?
08:11The experts suggested that Joe love bombed Maeve and Julia Ruth and Julia Ruth apologized.
08:18And it felt really earnest at the, you know, reunion.
08:22She apologized for hurting people in the experiment.
08:25It was a pressure cooker.
08:26We were witnessing something that was quite interesting and unusual to watch,
08:31but also it like touched on like girl code and like if you've got each other's back
08:36and like you couldn't really trust Julia Ruth.
08:39Then to have the thing afterwards with Joe and Steven and not your original partner.
08:44I'm like, why not?
08:47I can report, honestly, that she has learned and grown a lot since the experiments happened.
08:55But yeah, look, it's a lot to process, isn't it?
08:58Nellie and Steven.
08:59So Steven said that he only texts Julia Ruth to annoy Nellie.
09:05Which is not good.
09:07Like, come on.
09:08No.
09:09That behavior is toxic.
09:10And to both, both ladies.
09:12Yeah.
09:13Like, just not appropriate.
09:14Like you're using one against the other.
09:16And also, you knew that it would piss Nellie off.
09:18You knew it would upset Nellie because of the insecurities that Nellie had.
09:22So you have actually gone out of your way to maliciously do that.
09:25That shows a lot about your character.
09:27I don't know if I like Steven.
09:28I'm just putting my hands up there.
09:29I feel like he didn't come across very well.
09:31He didn't treat Nellie very good.
09:33He knew what he was doing when he was on Hinge as well.
09:36And he was just like point blank lying.
09:38And like on Hinge on the way to see Nellie.
09:41It's just like, come on, girl.
09:42It was just a domino of confessions.
09:44Yeah.
09:45Because he owned up then to being on Hinge.
09:47Well, he couldn't not.
09:48With the face verification and all of that.
09:50It was actually good at one stage how Paul C Brunson said, well, at least you're showing up.
09:55Yeah.
09:56That takes a lot of courage.
09:57Because Joe didn't.
09:58Joe didn't.
09:59That was avoidant behavior from Joe.
10:00Yeah.
10:01And like we've all like.
10:02And it's not to excuse any of Steven's behavior.
10:05No.
10:06But he did face the music.
10:07Yeah.
10:08And there did seem like a genuine apology.
10:10And Nellie.
10:11I mean, Nellie really did find her confidence.
10:13Yeah.
10:14And her voice.
10:15I mean, if anyone to like stand up against Julia Roof was probably like one of the hardest to do.
10:21And she was like calling it out and like they were going back and forth.
10:24And for someone that Nellie was saying at the beginning, like doesn't have that confidence to speak
10:28up or argue or do anything.
10:31I think it was really good to see that she kind of found that.
10:34Oh, she did.
10:35And then seen her housemate who had her back.
10:37Lucy.
10:38Yeah.
10:39We all need Lucy in our lives.
10:40And her parents as well.
10:41It was like, Nellie's got a good unit of people around her that support her.
10:45And like, she deserves the world, I think.
10:47Now let's have a chat about our other couples.
10:49Paul apologized to Anita for using her to find himself.
10:53The experts said that Maeve showed huge growth in the experiment.
10:57April and Leo said they had learned loans.
11:00And despite his fake tattoos, Dean is still in the friend zone with Sarah.
11:05It's time to get ready to happy stomp because David will be here very soon.
11:12Oh, welcome back again to Mavs UK.
11:30It's official.
11:31And we're now joined by the gorgeous Mel and David.
11:35Yay.
11:36Hi.
11:38Jimmy and I are wrapped about this, aren't we?
11:39Oh, we love it.
11:40We've been getting into it.
11:41David, it really was love at first sight when you first met Kia.
11:46What were your expectations going into the experiment?
11:49It was really strange because when I came into this experiment,
11:52I came in literally like open minded, open heart.
11:55And I thought to myself, whatever it is that's going to come out of this,
11:58I hope is good.
11:59But as soon as I turned around and hold his hand,
12:02like the entire world just disappeared.
12:04It was just me and him.
12:05And you could, we could feel it.
12:07We could feel it.
12:08It was just, it was beautiful.
12:10And like probably one of the best days of my life.
12:13I've just got to jump in and just say how incredibly unique it was within this experiment.
12:19You've got to remember I've done 17 seasons to see a couple who not only have that instant
12:24attraction, because with you guys, there was that instant spark.
12:27Yeah.
12:28It's been straight away translated into a real, genuine, deeper relationship.
12:33Yeah.
12:34You know, with so many couples, it's either or.
12:35Yeah.
12:36But with these two, it was the perfect combination of initial spark and deeper connection.
12:43I think that's why.
12:44Beautiful to watch.
12:45I think it's super important to highlight as well that me and Kia, we both waited for
12:49the physical aspect of it.
12:50Yeah.
12:51Because we wanted this deep emotional connection because in the community, in the queer community,
12:56it's really easy to just jump into like a physical connection straight away.
13:00Yeah, for sure.
13:01And that's what it was lacking to me.
13:02I was like, I was getting the physical whenever I wanted, but the emotional connection is what
13:05I was missing.
13:06Do you find that this foundation of friendship first and the more snow moving couples sort
13:13of a bit more sustainable maybe?
13:15It can be.
13:16And I always have to put a caveat because, you know, every relationship is different and
13:20I learn every season.
13:21I learn something new.
13:22Yeah.
13:23So I've had a lot of expectations that I've had to let go of because I'm learning, you
13:28know, that different relationships operate so differently.
13:30But we'd often talk in this experiment about the slow burn.
13:33And often in this experiment, we're encouraging people to slow down, you know, to sort of say,
13:37guys, how about that connection, that emotional connection first?
13:40Yes.
13:41But you two did that very naturally.
13:43It was just this intuitive thing.
13:44And because I had the pleasure of meeting both of you at the start of the experiment,
13:49I knew in so much detail that both of you had such a need to make that emotional connection
13:56and to set up that beautiful safety between you before you sort of moved into that more intimate space.
14:01And it was such a joy to watch you actually both doing it.
14:03Oh, yeah.
14:04I think it's just the way we grounded each other.
14:06We used to say to each other, you're my anchor, because like, that's what we did to each other.
14:10Whenever things get messy or stumble a little bit, I would just need to find him across the table or at the mixer.
14:17And everything would just be like, I'm good.
14:19I have someone backing me up.
14:20And that's all I have wanted.
14:22It was just joyous as well to watch as well.
14:24Like you just such a strong unit.
14:26And like there was you'd see like a lot of other couples maybe having a bit of their woes.
14:31But like whenever you two would walk in, it was like you'd light up the room.
14:34And I think it was just such a beautiful representation for the queer community as well, because you are right.
14:39The physical is so easy to get, like, especially with apps and everything, you know, like that is so easy to come by.
14:44But having an emotional connection with someone is so rare these days.
14:47So like to see that transpire, whether it's your soulmate, your best friend, it was just like a beautiful queer representation I think we needed.
14:54Yeah.
14:55And things were getting tense and all the couples were anxious.
14:57And then our two beautiful men would walk in and the energy would instantly change.
15:02Yeah.
15:03Definitely.
15:04And there's this queer spirit that would come into our room.
15:06Yeah.
15:07And everyone would be uplifted and calmed.
15:09I think it's just...
15:10Good vibe.
15:11Yes.
15:12Absolutely.
15:13Matching out.
15:14Yeah, exactly.
15:15Not matching.
15:16Complimentary.
15:17Complementary.
15:18Complementary nails.
15:19I always appreciated nails.
15:20Always went bang, bang, though.
15:21It was good.
15:22Yeah.
15:23No, it was good.
15:24I think it was as well, because we were such a big support to the group itself.
15:28Everyone kind of like went to us when it was advice or if they wanted to have a laugh.
15:33Everyone just felt happy seeing us.
15:35Yeah.
15:36Now, I do want to say, so in Law's Week, both you and Kia said, I love you.
15:40Mm-hmm.
15:41Were there any moments in that that you thought, oh, gosh, the relationship's moving a bit
15:45too fast?
15:46No.
15:47I wouldn't say so because...
15:49It was the right time.
15:50It was the right time.
15:51It was the right time.
15:52We both knew that we were feeling it.
15:54And we used to say this thing.
15:55We used to say it all the time.
15:57It's like, very.
15:58As in, we like each other very much.
16:00Mm-hmm.
16:01So I used to say very instead of saying, I love you.
16:03Kia's best friend asked if I was in love.
16:06And I went, yeah, I am in love.
16:07And we're all sitting on our couch just going, yeah.
16:08We're in love with you too.
16:09Both of you.
16:10It was just, yeah.
16:11It was incredible.
16:12It felt right as well.
16:13It didn't feel forced.
16:14It didn't feel like it was for show or just, we just, I just looked at him and I'm like,
16:20yeah, I do love you.
16:21Yeah.
16:22It just felt really right.
16:23I mean, we loved watching you guys wink after wink, skip in amongst the chaos.
16:28Yeah.
16:29As Mel said, raise the frequency.
16:30Did you find that, you know, the drama effect?
16:35Did you find that, you know, the drama affected you guys and your relationship at all?
16:39The drama that was happening around you 24-7?
16:42It got to a point in the middle of the show that I got really drained.
16:46Mm-hmm.
16:47Even the experts told us, yeah, you have to stop helping everyone.
16:51Paul turned to us and said, you need to like, from this time to this time, yes, you're more
16:55than welcome to come and knock on our door, but I had to stop because I'm such an empath
17:00and I was getting on everyone's energy when it comes to the end of the day.
17:03I wouldn't have enough energy for Kia and he was feeling left out.
17:06Or yourself.
17:07Yeah, or myself.
17:08So let's talk about home states because there was a bit of a blow up, an argument.
17:12Mm-hmm.
17:13And we saw this in the cat cafe.
17:15Meow.
17:16Meow.
17:17Love cats.
17:18Do you think this argument was really about the cats?
17:21No.
17:22Or was there something brewing sort of around it?
17:23I think the cats were the catalyst.
17:25I think Kia is extremely claustrophobic.
17:29I had no idea that there was a thing.
17:32I did tell him prior to us entering.
17:34He's like, if you do feel uncomfortable at any point, just let me know.
17:37Let me know.
17:38We'll get out.
17:39We'll have a breather.
17:40And then we'll continue doing it.
17:41I think it was more of a, he shut down.
17:44Kia, unfortunately, took a while for him to be able to express how he was feeling.
17:49At the moment, he would protect himself in going to .
17:52Yeah.
17:53And that's why you see me go, do you want to talk about it?
17:55Mm-hmm.
17:56Because he didn't feel safe, but he couldn't say, I don't feel good.
17:59Because if he would have said that to me, I would have walked out with him and I would
18:02have had a little chat, have a breather, and just come back down if we wanted to.
18:06I've got to commend you for your communication skills.
18:09Like their next level.
18:10Yeah.
18:11Would you say, Mel?
18:12Absolutely.
18:13You know, from all the fellows that you have through on the experiment like this.
18:16Absolutely.
18:17Your emotional intelligence is off the charts.
18:21You grew a lot.
18:22Yeah.
18:23We did.
18:24And together.
18:25We matured together.
18:26Yeah.
18:27It was me and him against the issue.
18:28It was never the issue against us.
18:30That's sweet.
18:31Isn't that key?
18:32That's such takeaway for all of us.
18:34Yeah.
18:35Just to, yeah, take the issue on hand as opposed to being in competition with each
18:39other.
18:40Yeah.
18:41In a reunion, the experts suggested that Joe had been love bombing both Maeve and Julia
18:47Roof.
18:48Just in your experience, what's the real difference that you see between love connection and love
18:54bombing?
18:55And it can be confusing.
18:56Yeah.
18:57It can be confusing.
18:58Yeah.
18:59You guys were in the deep end straight away.
19:01Yeah.
19:02And I guess, you know, that's something that Maeve experienced as well.
19:05And he was, you know, he did say, I love you very, very soon and was essentially telling
19:11her everything she wanted to hear.
19:13And I guess one of the tricky things about love bombing is it can masquerade as this beautiful
19:20limerence, which is, you know, what we call the early stage of a relationship.
19:24But one of the more sinister aspects of it is it's then very quickly withdrawn.
19:29So the person develops, you know, this dependency on the need for this affirmation from this person outside
19:37self and all of a sudden that's withdrawn and the person's self-esteem drops to the floor.
19:43Can you tell that happening?
19:45Like from when you're watching the show and like you're like behind the scenes and you're
19:49seeing the couples each week.
19:51Can you see when that's starting to happen?
19:53Yeah.
19:54And how it must be so difficult to like navigate that and then trying to get them to like
19:58admit that one of them is doing something wrong.
20:00Because I think there's a lot of avoidance people do, right?
20:02Oh, massively.
20:03Yeah.
20:04That's right.
20:05Trying to get them to admit to it.
20:06Yeah.
20:07So it's not our role to tell them this is what's happening in your relationship, but to ask
20:11questions and to maybe hold up the mirror and get them to reflect on how they are feeling
20:15about it themselves.
20:16And I guess one of the things that we do notice when someone is in this love bombing or
20:21any kind of sort of manipulative behavior is quite often their words and behavior don't
20:25match.
20:26Don't match.
20:27You know, so you see that deception happening where they might be saying, I love you, but
20:31their eyes are over here.
20:33Well, at the reunion, which of our brides and grooms did you feel showed the most growth
20:37on the experiment?
20:39I really enjoyed Lee and Leah's growth as a couple, because I felt that there was a
20:47lot of resistance coming in.
20:49You know, particularly if you remember when we met Lee, she said, I want a really masculine
20:55presenting woman.
20:56And Leah walked down the aisle in a frou-frou frock.
21:02She was fem, fem, femity-fem.
21:04And I know that was a real challenge for her.
21:07So seeing Lee very slowly start to open up and realize that she could be with someone
21:12who was different from her type.
21:14I think that was such a strong message, not just for queer couples, but for straight couples
21:18as well.
21:19Yeah.
21:20You know, so many people come into this experiment so obsessed with a type and can get really
21:25stuck on that list.
21:26And so I really loved watching the two of them open up and, you know, see that we can
21:32be, but both of us can be with someone who is different from our typical type and find
21:36joy in that.
21:37Yeah.
21:38I loved watching their journey too.
21:40Mel, of the couples that didn't work out, who did you have the highest hopes for?
21:46I really had high hopes for Sarah and Dean.
21:51I loved those two as a couple.
21:52And I think, you know, when we talk about that idea of aligned values, they certainly have
21:57that.
21:58And even lifestyle, the sense of humour, the two of them are absolute cats when they're
22:06together and they just crack everyone else up as well.
22:09I really, I really did have a lot of hope, you know, that the two of them would find that
22:14connection.
22:15And I think they did, certainly on a friendship in a different way.
22:18That's why I think it's just on paper, they're like, they're perfect.
22:21Yeah.
22:22That's why they're so good friends nowadays.
22:24Yes.
22:25I think with Sarah and Dean, it was quite sad to watch.
22:29Like Dean was so obviously wanting it to make it work.
22:32And I know obviously Sarah was, but whenever it was the cutaways and she was just like,
22:36he's just not my type.
22:37I just felt so bad for him.
22:39So when he rocked up at the end with those like fake tats, I was like, bless him.
22:44Like it was so sweet.
22:45But I think, you know, if there's one thing like watching the show and just in general,
22:50like never change yourself or your aesthetic for somebody else, because someone else is
22:55going to appreciate you for who you are and how you are.
22:58So never try and change yourself for anyone.
23:00Yeah.
23:01Don't put your neck out too much.
23:02Yeah, exactly.
23:03Yeah.
23:04Like just, yeah, be yourself.
23:05And I think that's when you'll find the most authentic match.
23:09As it's the last episode of the season, it is time for the MAPS Awards 2025.
23:19And you guys have got the honour of each handing out a bit of an award.
23:23Tell us what you've got.
23:24So I've got the best piece of advice.
23:26Ooh.
23:27So there's been some fantastic advice in this year's series,
23:31not least from all of our incredible experts, but from some of our brides and grooms too.
23:36But the winner is...
23:41Maeve, with her advice on how not to complete MAPS.
23:45You don't tell someone that you love them.
23:47Leave them.
23:48And then two days later, start cracking on with another wife,
23:50and then fuck them and Lanzarote.
23:52Oh!
23:56Go on, Maeve.
23:57Yes, you've got to love Maeve.
23:58Oh, well done, Maeve.
23:59Love it.
24:00OK, this one's for you.
24:01Song.
24:03So I have song of the year.
24:05We had some very talented newlyweds this year.
24:08We've had some incredible lyricism from Dean, a rap, rap, rap.
24:12And we've seen Bailey absolutely shredding it on Bluebell's pink guitar.
24:16That's true.
24:17But song of the year is awarded to the hit single,
24:21Don't Run Away, I'm Feeling You.
24:24Don't Run Away, Don't Run Away, Don't Run Away, I'm Feeling You.
24:33Yes!
24:35Oh, just run away.
24:37Just run away.
24:39He's a beautiful man.
24:40He's a beautiful man.
24:41And this one's for you.
24:44This was a really competitive category for Best Tattoo with a couple of late entries from
24:52Julie Roof and obviously Joe.
24:54But the winner is Dean.
24:56Have you got tattoos on your neck?
24:58Yeah, yeah.
24:59Woo!
25:00Too cool for school.
25:02Good on ya, Dean.
25:04But do show your little otter to everybody because no one's seen that.
25:08Enki got one too.
25:09Yeah, he did.
25:10Lots of matching tattoos.
25:11Matching otters.
25:12This season.
25:13And I've got the kiss of the year.
25:15There was a lot of kissing on this year's series of maps and we love to see it.
25:19We don't have the time to revisit them all, but we do have a runner up in this category,
25:24our own Torval and Dean.
25:26Lee and Lee are on the ice with their safety penguins.
25:29Oh!
25:31Penguins!
25:33But the winner is David and Kia's first kiss on their wedding day!
25:39Oh, Papa.
25:40You get a little trophy.
25:43Well done.
25:44Love.
25:45Oh, I love that.
25:46Yay!
25:47Now, let's go to our version of the commitment ceremony here.
25:51I'm going to get you guys to think very carefully about whether you want to stay or leave.
25:57And maybe the reasons why.
25:59Here we go, Bimli.
26:00It's great to get my turn.
26:04Oh, we're really wrapping up.
26:05Let's start with you, David.
26:08It has been an absolute pleasure finally meeting you in person.
26:12Bimli, you have done a service to the community.
26:15Thank you very much.
26:16Oh, babe.
26:18I just love you.
26:19I just love you.
26:20And just for that reason, and because I'm feeling quite generous today, I'm going to stay.
26:25I certainly haven't had enough of you, so I'm thrilled about that.
26:32It's been an incredible season.
26:34And I'm not just talking about maths.
26:35I'm talking about maths, it's official.
26:37Yeah.
26:38I'm a fan of this podcast.
26:39Oh, yay.
26:40I've listened to every episode.
26:41Are you kidding?
26:42Uh-uh.
26:43I absolutely love it.
26:44And I've told everyone in Australia to listen to it as well.
26:46I'm thrilled about that.
26:47I love it.
26:48So I am going to stay and that's my little couch to say I will return to my couch.
26:56Look how amazing your writing is.
26:57Oh, don't sound so surprised, Lucinda.
27:00Well, I would like to just say thank you for having me on the couch and for an incredible
27:06season, but I would like the experts to help me because I am emotionally available,
27:12but I am single, so for that reason, I am going to stay.
27:17Yay!
27:18Yes!
27:19And we'll see you next evening.
27:20And hopefully find some love.
27:21Yes.
27:22I'm going to stay on your bandwagon because I still need help from the experts, I can tell
27:26you.
27:27I'm going to stay on the couch for the next hour.
27:32Thank you so much, Bimini, Mel and David, for joining me here today.
27:37Three of our couples are walking off into the sunset together after meeting as strangers
27:42at the end of the aisle.
27:44Though the experiment may not have worked for everyone, what we have learned is that if you
27:49get the opportunity to take a risk on love, you should ask yourself, why not?
