00:13okay so to make it interesting big al let's let's see what items loren has gotten through tsa

00:21okay and i'm not talking about being sneaky i mean just having a conversation with the tsa

00:27agents and letting them know like you have rights because number one on the list is baked goods

00:32christmas cookies cakes pies and fruit cakes when uh my mom turned 50 we had just started the show

00:41and she really wanted a cake from charlotte like this specific bakery the specific design

00:47and i flew down and surprised her for her birthday and i carried a cake through security and when i

00:54got to tsa they were like uh you can't take that through and i was like no i mean actually i can

00:59they're like well then we have to cut it and i was like no no we're not cutting this cake

01:02you're gonna put it through the x-ray machine that's right

01:05cakes pies and fruit cakes are fine to go through the security checkpoint as long as they are x-rayed

01:12and you allow them to be x-rayed see a lot of people don't want their x-ray all over their food

01:16don't bring wrapped gifts to the airport they can't go through since it's nice to arrive with

01:24your presence neatly wrapped it's good but if the gift needs to be open for inspection or triggers an

01:29alarm at the airport you'll need to unwrap it that's why tsa recommends using gift bags instead

01:33of wrapping paper always gift bags electronic gifts if you're giving a laptop gaming system or

01:38even a coffee maker pack them in your carry-on just know they'll be placed in a bin to be x-rayed

01:45just pack them in a place that's accessible okay so just don't put them on your carry-on

01:51yeah because then i guess they're going to tear through your bag to get to it i don't think you

01:56can take lithium batteries on the airplane oh okay okay uh we talked about cakes there's other foods

02:04like maple syrup champagne eggnog they all need to go in a checked bag because those are liquids

02:09spreadables aren't allowed on board i thought they were going to change the whole liquid thing i thought

02:15they upped it i thought they upped it to the you could bring a larger bottle or like the water

02:20bottles were allowed to go through i thought so too we gotta double check that doesn't say it here

02:24the agency did remind on x to tell travelers that if you could spill it spread it spray it pump it or

02:29pour it and it's larger than three uh three fourths of an ounce then it needs to be or three ounces yeah

02:35it needs to be packaged into a check bag you can't take baby food through but they have to uh do the

02:39little testy thing yeah big al this is good to know casseroles and meat should be fine to be carried

02:44on through tsa but gravy and sauce over three ounces have to go in a check bag that's good to

02:51know it's like yeah that's good to know yeah you got to put your gravy your gravy in a check bag the

02:56casserole and uh lastly these are things that you can't bring loren you can't bring snow globes as long

03:03as it has over three ounces of liquid inside there's liquid inside uh-huh nobody i mean nobody likes

03:08snow globes anyway wait a minute nobody likes snow globes why are you dogging snow globes glad

03:15you asked because my kids have broken at least three snow globes in their life i like snow globes

03:22and when i tell you you can't they drop them you can't get the glitter up off the floor

03:28the shards of glass are as thin and tiny as the damn glitter in it it's a nightmare just forego

03:51ago i'm not kidding i brought uh the first time i went to chicago i brought home a deep dish pizza

03:56and they put it through the x-ray and you were good to bring it on the plane that's good
