00:00the holiday party yesterday with all the friends of ours uh who work at the different radio stations
00:06around us and uh it was fun it was a good get together nice get together at a restaurant called
00:12leroy fox here in charlotte i don't know where my bell is oh it's right there right in front of you
00:17yep sorry there's all this lush greenery in front of me i got lost cocktails were flowing
00:24food was was being eaten it was a good little holiday get together so i felt bad that our
00:30big boss man mac couldn't make it i know he was not feeling well poor buddy but you know it's always
00:35good to see people from our sister station power 98 and v 101.9 and wsoc the country station um
00:43and then we were sitting there and all of a sudden uh i see that um miss jessica from no limit layer
00:51in the morning madhouse power 98 she also has her own afternoon show she says hey since we all had
00:58a couple cocktails why don't we play a round of never have i ever been never a good idea especially
01:03at a holiday party so loren's like walking around and she walks past us and i grab her i go oh loren
01:09you're in and she's like for what i go you'll see and then cameron our big boss in the midday bay
01:14she walks by and i grab her so now it's big al loren cameron leslie from our promotions team
01:21and jessica and randy our digital director all playing never have i ever but it was the radio
01:29station version of never have i ever meaning that we were asking questions like never have i ever
01:37stole anything from the building we all drank because if you drank that means you did it right
01:43right yeah uh and another one popped up was never have i ever had a crush on a co-worker
01:50yeah some people drank i'm not gonna say who i'm not gonna out anybody but i was surprised at a
01:58couple of the people who took a drink i was too actually right yeah never have i ever hooked up
02:04with an artist a couple people drank on that never have i ever hooked up inside the station
02:11a couple people drank that were you surprised at that uh no just because i know like the rumors of
02:19like night guys in the industry and whatnot i'm not gonna say who but i'll say almost everyone drank
02:26we're hooking up in the studios no yes there was how many of us playing six at least half the people
02:33drank i don't think so i think it was only two i don't know and then uh somebody said that they
02:40hooked up with a pretty popular artist a pretty famous a pretty famous artist and then when the
02:45artist made it big the artist stopped calling them yeah and returning their calls uh never have i
02:51ever what was the other one oh never have i ever um hooked up with a co-worker there was a crush on
02:58a co-worker then there was hooked up with a co-worker and one or two people drank so you learn
03:03a lot from the never have i ever game and that's why we recommend you playing it this holiday season
03:08at dinner but not at your office christmas not at your office christmas party we don't condone that
03:13no we work in radio it's a little loosey-goosey around here
03:17how about yankee peter old friend yankee pete showing up as santa i mean he looked like the
03:25best santa claus and he said that he's always fought the temptation to be santa but this year
03:31the santa calling came he said he signed his santa claus so he's gonna help the big man upstairs
03:37yeah you know help him out at the malls and stuff but yeah i mean pete came to our party
03:42and he looked so good he looked just like santa full beard everything so yeah it was a good time
03:48getting together with everybody yesterday guess who the last one to leave was you yeah 100 i don't
03:53know how i know you don't it was like i had been there like an hour and 40 minutes and finally i was
04:00like i gotta go home i got kids stuff tonight yeah so did i but you stayed until the bitter end i don't
04:05know why i just fomo yeah i wasn't even drinking at that point anymore you know what it is though it's
04:10like i don't ever get to see qcb who works over on the sports side of things i don't ever get to see
04:15less who's in our promotions team i know you know what i mean like there's a lot of guys who i was
04:20hanging out with and qcb broke news that there's somebody that we all like in the building and he
04:25doesn't like them so that was a big thing oh and then you know we're moving i've said that a million
04:29times now and that should be happening right after the holidays now at this point it's supposed to
04:33happen at thanksgiving then before christmas and now after the holidays but anyway uh so what we're
04:39going to do is we're going to get a big group together and come up here and have like one last
04:42drinking night and talk about all the fun times we've had here that's a good idea for the last
04:4514 years great idea and like just hang out order pizza i fully support that i'm not doing dry january
04:51i'm not doing it good you'll come yeah we were laughing i mean we were having so many laughs about
04:56people who used to work here and all the fun crazy times and everybody's got stories so anyway
05:01if you are going to get together with family and friends play never have i ever we'll give you
05:05those are the questions you should start off with
05:07all right uh tsa put out a guide on to which holiday gifts won't make it through security
05:18okay so to make it interesting big loren let's let's see what items loren has gotten through tsa
05:26okay and i'm not talking about being sneaky i mean just having a conversation with the tsa agents and
05:32letting them know like you have rights because number one on the list is baked goods christmas
05:37cookies cakes pies and fruit cakes when uh my mom turned 50 we had just started the show and she
05:47really wanted a cake from charlotte like this specific bakery the specific design and i flew down
05:53and surprised her for her birthday and i carried a cake through security and when i got to tsa they were
06:00like uh you can't take that through and i was like no i mean actually i can they're like well
06:04then we have to cut it and i was like no no we're not cutting this cake you're gonna put it through
06:08the x-ray machine that's right cakes pies and fruit cakes are fine to go through the security
06:14checkpoint as long as they are x-rayed and you allow them to be x-rayed see a lot of people don't
06:19want their x-ray all over their food uh yes don't bring wrapped gifts to the airport they can't go
06:27through since it's nice to arrive with your presence neatly wrapped it's good but if the
06:31gift needs to be open for inspection or triggers an alarm at the airport you'll need to unwrap it
06:35that's why tsa recommends using gift bags instead of wrapping paper always gift bags electronic gifts
06:41if you're giving a laptop gaming system or even a coffee maker pack them in your carry-on
06:46just know they'll be placed in a bin to be x-rayed just pack them in a place that's accessible
06:52okay so just don't put them on your carry-on yeah because then i guess they're going to tear through
06:59your bag to get to it i don't think you can take lithium batteries on the airplane oh okay okay uh
07:07we talked about cakes there's other foods like maple syrup champagne eggnog they all need to go in a
07:11check bag because those are liquids spreadables aren't allowed on board i thought they were going
07:17to change the whole liquid thing i thought they upped it i thought they upped it to the you could
07:23bring a larger bottle or like the water bottles were allowed to go through i thought so too we
07:27gotta double check that doesn't say it here the agency did remind on x to tell travelers that if
07:32you could spill it spread it spray it pump it or pour it and it's larger than three uh three-fourths of an
07:37ounce then it needs to be or three ounces yeah it needs to be packaged into a check bag you can't
07:42take baby food through but they have to uh do the little testy thing yeah yeah this is good to know
07:47casseroles and meat should be fine to be carried on through tsa but gravy and sauce over three ounces
07:53have to go in a check bag that's good to know it's liquid yep that's good to know yeah you gotta put
07:58your gravy your gravy in a check bag casserole and uh lastly these are things that you can't bring
08:04loren you can't bring snow globes as long as it has over three ounces of liquid inside there's
08:10liquid inside uh-huh nobody i mean nobody likes snow globes anyway wait a minute why are you dogging
08:19snow globes glad you asked because my kids have broken at least three snow globes in their life
08:24i like snow globes and i tell you well how do they break them you can't they drop them you can't
08:32get the glitter up off the floor the shards of glass are as thin and tiny as the damn glitter in it
08:38it's a nightmare just forego who are um who are simba's friends in the lion king pumbaa and
08:46that's who your kids are yes uh rick our buddy who listens to the show said i saw an extra large
08:53pizza box go through tsa two weeks ago i'm not kidding i brought uh the first time i went to
08:59chicago i brought home a deep dish pizza and they put it through the x-ray and you were good to bring
