00:00Last episode, Adam and Michelle kind of won the whole game.
00:03But we're not going to worry about that because we are now playing for second place.
00:07Adam has joined Ben and Brian as the current runner team,
00:10and Michelle has joined Toby and I as the Chasers.
00:13All was going smoothly for Team Brendam as they quickly descended Matterhorn
00:17and made their way north through Switzerland with a sizable lead.
00:20But at the end of the day, their train from Bern was delayed past the rest period,
00:25forcing them to piece together a janky new route at the last possible minute.
00:28Now they're on their way to a town called Olten with a bag full of oranges,
00:32where they'll need to end their day on the right train platform
00:35in order to make a train tomorrow morning that leaves the second the day begins.
00:39If they miss that train or fail to juice their oranges in the few minutes they'll have in Zurich,
00:44their whole route into Germany will fall apart and we'll be right behind them.

03:41morning is yes i was just doing some research they have got a great train to stuttgart stuttgart is
03:50sort of directly on their most obvious route they would leave at 6 37 they would get in at 9 32
03:57the thing is if we went to zurich and then follow them to stuttgart our fastest route would get in
04:03at 10 43 so about over an hour slightly more than an hour however oh i love when you say however i
04:12love what sam says however because he's got a plan he's got a plan well it is it's a risk
04:19if we from burn elected to go straight to stuttgart our best route it's complicated we go to basel
04:28then we go to strasburg then we go to stuttgart with some relatively tight connections it's
04:35particularly from particularly in stratsburg but it would get us in at 10 04 so we cut off 33 minutes
04:43so we potentially reliably gain on them if they're going directly more north however we do so on a
04:51route with two connections one of the trains is the exact train we took today from basel to from basel
04:58strasburg and vice versa that got delayed that got canceled actually so that's kind of what we need
05:05to sign we're really asking the question because both options lead us to stuttgart
05:10stuttgart stuttgart one is just safer one is more risky all right we are here
05:20this is a tough call at the moment i would say we should do it yeah pending having a terrible dream
05:30about it tonight and changing my mind i lean i lean towards it yeah i don't think they'll expect
05:36this to do that yeah yeah probably not it's not the craziest thing in the world i mean this is a
05:41really tough call because either way we do it there's every chance in the world that we get the call

09:34i think this makes sense so we're staying on this right yeah well i mean we'll be half

09:47the fact that they're moving now seemingly to zurich makes me think no i think what maybe happened was
09:53the train they wanted to zurich was maybe delayed into the rest period in a way that they couldn't
09:57take it so i think maybe this is just purely good for us so do we think it was they wanted to go to
10:03zurich that train got delayed too much so they came at hail mary to bro i don't you know i don't
10:09want to celebrate too much but i i can't that's kind of what it looks like to me they're heading south
10:15now according to the track south that's just yeah okay i mean if they're going to zurich then that's
10:20definitely what happened because there was another faster train to zurich why would they do this instead
10:25yeah we'll be there half an hour behind them yeah really depends on the challenge which is really
10:29big yeah i mean honestly it looks like things some things have gone wrong for them it's like something
10:36something will also happen yeah which is good for us but okay let's do some research okay yes

10:57just decide to follow behind us like come to zurich straight to zurich this morning or if they're gonna
11:03try and get in front of us because i don't know if they can anticipate exactly what we're gonna do if
11:08they're really smart probably they do have a really good really fast route straight to stuttgart
11:16but it's not actually through zurich if they ended the night in berg which is the furthest they could
11:24have gotten assuming no delays they could get to stuttgart five minutes before our train leaves
11:30by going through basel then strasburg then stuttgart it involves a high-speed train which
11:36is why it's not what we're doing but yeah it would require them to basically play perfectly to
11:41exactly anticipate where we would be going my big fear is the fact that we went towards zurich
11:50last night might have tipped our hand us going to zurich might also just suggest to them
11:55to follow us to zurich because like no saying that we don't just stay in zurich for a little while and
12:02do challenges and if they can get dessert quickly and they should just do that i don't know we'll just
12:08see we've we have our route we've got to execute on our route and hopefully they don't 4d chess us
12:14yes did you notice toby's amazing outfit today of course i did it's the album cover simple plan i
12:24briefed them that this is the album cover of simple plans jet lag which i think a simple plan might
12:31actually be good for us and even right now whatever we were cooking up yesterday about going over and
12:36trying to get in front of them was too complicated i think and i'm kind of glad we didn't do that it
12:40might have been a disaster because they already did something we didn't expect and it didn't and
12:45the plan didn't even start yet so i think i would like to keep it simple for now of like let's just
12:52follow behind them let's just see without every single step and try to just go there
12:57okay almost to zarek we've got our oranges um we have a kind of uh plan i have to pour my water
13:18we only need four ounces of orange juice and we have so many oranges and we have
13:24so many minutes would you class by 13 as so many minutes in the scheme of this run 13 feels like

13:36okay where we get to a spot where no one's gonna stop us from juicing

13:46i'm seeing micro movements on the platform of first it was ben moving up like the platform and
13:53then it was followed by brian's tracker but like so they're like moving like on what looks like the
14:00platforms and i don't know if that means they just got on a train and they've like walked up the length
14:04of the train or something like that make an assembly okay can we get a strainer going yeah why don't you
14:12set that up oh those are juicy oranges we got this well no brian just strain it just strain it

17:38to being friends to enemies again here's the thing i've always been enemies with adam
17:46okay so we i assume we want to just go on the fastest route to stuttgart now right yeah
17:53okay hello we are on this train for a very long time which is great mm-hmm yeah they can't get us on
18:07the train and also well don't say that we haven't gotten on trains wait we have been gotten on the
18:14trains here here is the thing i'm thinking about from stuttgart there are two main ways we could go you
18:20could go up to frankfurt or you could go northeast to nuremberg i think that if we get caught in
18:27frankfurt sam toby michelle have an easy path to victory like frankfurt is very very well connected
18:34can we even get to frankfurt with a low speed yes but there is a train i think it would be a mistake
18:44yeah i do too whereas if we off the east
18:51it's gonna be a lot harder for them once they catch us i feel good about nuremberg the only problem with
18:56nuremberg is we're only gonna have 400 coins when we get in and the train to nuremberg is in half an
19:01hour yeah and we need like 13 50 or something total or more we can do that i think we do yeah
19:13probably probably we'll see i mean we'll just pull something when we get there and uh we might kind of
19:21have to change our plan depending on what happens plan a just grind some challenges out and get up to
19:29nuremberg plan b haven't figured that out yet got a nice little run sequence of you michelle

26:33still so i think we might lose upwards of seven or eight minutes yeah something like that so we have
26:40like 20 minutes to make how much coins that catch that train i believe i believe the exact math is we
26:46need to earn eight maybe maybe maybe if we could get in close on time that would be great deutsche

29:31at least physically in front of them so that also makes me think that here's where they might start

30:23speed so we wouldn't be able to take it for that moment can we figure out the which train we're taking

32:17which one is best a lot of them are high speed and expensive but i think we got to go to nuremberg
32:21we're gonna have to do challenges there and then we're gonna have to get out of there as fast as

32:39i frankly was not expecting us to make it to nuremberg good job fellas what's crazy is that
32:46they could have been here at least as far as we know there was a route to get them to
32:50stuttgart before we left if they had gone straight here so you have to wonder where they are
33:11they're seemingly actually not going north to worseburg right now oh really going east to
33:17yeah i mean they could be going to like nuremberg it seems kind of like this one maybe it's a rather
33:23slow train but i see the attractiveness of that it goes really east yeah so we could get to nuremberg by
33:29about 120 on a different route um nuremberg 16. all right are we locking that in yeah all right let's
33:46get to the platform there's still people getting on there so there's not water here we go
34:16okay so we've been looking at our options so if we go to erfurt route we get in
34:24at 224. do we even have the coins to get to erfurt at this point though no no i mean we're gonna have
34:30to get coins how long are we gonna have to get coins in nuremberg i think we'll have a little while
34:37what are the connections out of there is a 233 that goes all the way to eikenberg okay which is
34:49again it's like it's just deeper into our territory it's kind of a random regional area
34:57like it's just going to be slower for them to get out of there it's gonna be more time yeah

35:08so i think we go nuremberg check refert and then hopefully refer to eikendorf

49:08original plan we get on a train in like seven minutes to go to Enfield at Enford Erfurt
49:17i am really scared about going to Erfurt it's barely in our region and i think it's the most
49:21logical place for us to go and so i think there is a pretty decent chance that that is where they
49:27will have gone i think that this high-speed train could get us much further into our region i think
49:33they wouldn't expect it because they wouldn't think we have this many points and the thing is
49:36i think that if we do this i think there's a decent chance that they can't even force a tie that
49:41we actually get the one yeah okay conforming you so so that train is in half an hour it's a better
49:46train but it we do risk being here for another half an hour in case they show up here but if we have
49:51we have 32 minutes right now so we need to pull another plug right now right now yeah

53:08confidently say right now that we would have won if we didn't guarantee if we had not hit that tree and
53:12got delayed
