00:00Our founding fathers talked about the right of the pursuit of happiness.
00:05Do you think this is really important?
00:07I don't know what else could be any more important if you attach exact meaning to concepts.
00:13The pursuit of happiness means a man's right to set his own goals,
00:18to choose his values, and to achieve them.
00:21Happiness means that state of consciousness which comes from the achievement of your values.
00:26Now, what can be more important than happiness?
00:29But happiness does not mean simply momentary pleasures or any kind of mindless self-indulgence.
00:35Happiness means a profound, guiltless, rational feeling of self-esteem and of pride in one's own achievement.
00:45It means the enjoyment of life, which is possible only through a rational man on a rational chord of morality.
