00:13Among the key issues tackled were the dismantling of entrenched bazaar cartels and efforts to
00:18eradicate hardcore poverty.
00:21In a statement, Dr. Zaliha said firm measures had been taken to dismantle bazaar cartels
00:27that had for years pressured small traders and micro-entrepreneurs.
00:31She said the implementation of the program Usaha Jaya Insan has enabled the Madani government
00:37in the Federal Territories to address hardcore poverty through a targeted, data-driven approach.
00:43Dr. Zaliha also congratulated Hannah Yeo, who was appointed as her successor, and said that
00:50she appreciated the officers and staff of the Federal Territories Department and its agencies
00:56for their commitment and cooperation throughout her tenure.
01:00She said that she was confident that Yeo would continue to advance the development agenda for
01:05the well-being of the people.
01:07Dr. Zaliha also thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the trust placed in her,
01:13adding that she would continue to give her full support to the government's reform agenda
01:18and to the newly appointed cabinet for the benefit of the nation and its people.
