00:00I want to appeal our Prime Minister, dear Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Chief Minister.
00:10My whole family's savings are there in the PMC.
00:13How am I going to survive?
00:15This is a very severe situation that we are facing.
00:19This is not an aira-gera bank, it is a fourth-ranked co-operative bank in India.
00:25If this is happening to me right now, it can happen with anybody.
00:29I am a biology professor.
00:31I have eight accounts.
00:33My whole family is having accounts in this particular bank, PMC bank.
00:38It's been 27 years my family is having accounts in this particular bank.
00:44We have trusted this bank so much.
00:46But what do we get in return?
00:48On Tuesday, we got a message that,
00:50at 9 o'clock in the morning,
00:52you are no longer able to access your account.
00:55You can just withdraw Rs 1,000.
00:57Then, how will we survive with Rs 1,000 for six months?
01:02People who are 85 years old,
01:04people who are 75 years old,
01:06who have kept all their earnings there,
01:10all their deposits are there.
01:12How are they going to trust you?
01:14RBI is making a statement.
01:17RBI is saying,
01:19our banking system is very safe in India.
01:22How? And what?
01:24Like, what are you talking about?
01:26Myself, I have my wedding.
01:28I have planned everything and
01:30invested so much
01:32to what I am getting right now.
01:34Not even able to access a certain amount of money,
01:37that I could do something for myself and my family.
01:40I want to appeal to the Prime Minister.
01:43When demonetisation happened in 2016,
01:46you said your money is valuable,
01:49it is white money.
01:50Please invest in banks.
01:52We heard that.
01:54And what did we get in 2019?
01:57It is white money, it is hard earned money.
02:00It is our money and we are doing protests
02:03and begging for our money.
02:05It's been 15-16 days,
02:07we are doing a silent protest.
02:09And no media is covering,
02:11so it is not very shown to other people.
02:15Right now, we are there around 6,000 members
02:18from Mumbai itself.
02:20There are people who are selling off their jewellery
02:22just to survive on a daily basis in Mumbai.
02:25It is not easy to survive here in Mumbai
02:28with certain amount of money,
02:30as daily expenditure is this much.
02:32Dear Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Chief Minister,
02:35please look into it.
02:37It's a request to you all,
02:39please cover this PMC bank crisis issue,
02:42as soon as possible.
