00:12Miley Cyrus has been pretty hush about her split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth since announcing
00:17it last month, but on Friday the 20-year-old opened up to Ellen about her newly single
00:22status, but not before throwing out a joke or two.
00:26During the interview, Miley makes it clear that she is wasting no time mourning the end
00:43of her four-year relationship with the Hunger Games actor.
00:53And as suspected, songs from her album, including Wrecking Ball and even F.U., can all be attributed
00:59to her relationship with Liam.

01:03Is there anything on this album about that?
01:05The whole album is a story of that, and I think it says that was starting with Adore You and
01:09ending with someone else's, I feel like you can really find this arc of growth.
01:14So is she still in contact with her ex?
01:16Let's just say they're no Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
01:19I haven't really gotten to see anyone right now because I've been so crazy busy.
01:24I'm just letting that chapter kind of close and then just looking forward to that new one.
01:28Weeks before their split, Miley and Liam showed a united front when she joined him at the August
01:33premiere of his movie Paranoia.
01:36But on Ellen, the singer was candid about her life without him.
01:39I keep saying I'm the happiest I've ever been and that's not even a dig.
01:42That's just me because I really am genuinely happy finally with myself, which I think sometimes
01:46it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are.
