Transcript
00:01Which of your character's lines has really stuck with you over the years?
00:05Well, definitely Elle Woods.
00:06What?
00:07Like it's hard?
00:08People ask me to do the bend and snap a lot.
00:11More than you would think.
00:12Walk the line.
00:13Baby, baby, baby, baby.
00:16And then I slam the door in his face.
00:18It's one of my favorite lines ever.
00:23Okay.
00:24What was your standout memory from facing off against Meryl Streep in Big Little Lies?
00:29Okay.
00:30Well, first of all, when you do a scene with Meryl Streep, half the time you're just saying
00:34in your head, like, oh my God, I can't believe that's Meryl Streep.
00:36I'm talking to Meryl Streep.
00:37My mouth is moving and words are coming out and they're being said to Meryl Streep.
00:42After I kind of let that sink in, then I could play the character.
00:46But I want to say maybe half of my work isn't usable because I was so starstruck.
00:54Okay.
00:55Which of Alex or Bradley's on-camera meltdowns was your favorite?
00:59There's so many great meltdowns.
01:01Probably episode four when Bradley says on-air something deeply personal that happened to
01:08her when she was 15 years old.
01:09It was so hard to figure out how to play it, but it was so genuine, the shock that Bradley
01:16has.
01:17Because I've been on air and said really dumb things, like on talk shows or Good Morning
01:22America.
01:23And I wanted to fall over and take a nap afterwards.
01:27And I usually did.
01:30Do do do do do.
01:33Okay.
01:34What would you like to post on Jennifer Aniston's Instagram?
01:38Oh my goodness.
01:41Maybe just cute pictures of her and I from the set.
01:43Or like when we joke around and she's just really funny.
01:48Fashion.
01:49I love her style.
01:51She also, ugh.
01:52She's a really pretty house.
01:54So maybe you get to see parts of her house and how she designed it.
01:58That would be really cool.
02:00What is something everyone can do for the environment?
02:03This is an excellent question.
02:05I think because we all need to help the environment.
02:08Um, my kids tell me not to use a lot of plastic.
02:11So I just stopped buying plastic bottles.
02:14Oh, another thing that's really good is now you can get a lot of dish soap and stuff.
02:19And you just use a reusable container.
02:21And they have these little capsules.
02:23And I don't know what the company's called.
02:25But, um, they're really great.
02:29What's the first thing that Hollywood should do to create opportunities for women?
02:33How much tape do you have?
02:35How many digital cards do you have?
02:37A good place to begin is really mentoring young women.
02:41All kinds of young women from different backgrounds.
02:44And I think it's really important that people who do not see an open door,
02:48that you really take them with you to different events.
02:51I think that would be an incredible thing if we started bringing Plus Ones to big events.
02:56Um, so that people get the networking experience.
02:58I also think it would be really great if we had more female screenwriters
03:02from all kinds of different backgrounds.
03:04Different parts of the country.
03:05Different parts of the world.
03:06Different socioeconomic, um, environments.
03:08And I think that would really expand storytelling.
03:12And we'd see a bigger spectrum of female behavior on film.
03:19I'm gonna end it there.
03:20Because I don't know how to stop when people get me started on this topic.
03:23Okay.
03:24Female leadership.
03:26Women in executive positions.
03:28Women on the boards of your companies.
03:30Okay.
03:31Moving on.
03:32Fill in the blank.
03:33Legally Blonde 3 will be so much fun.
03:39So full of fashion.
03:41So full of awesome feminist ideas.
03:44It will be global.
03:46It will have animals.
03:47It will have returning cast members.
03:50We just need to, um, film it first.
03:55But that's my hope and dream for Legally Blonde 3.
03:58It will be the return of Jennifer Coolidge.
04:01Which is the greatest.
04:04Alright, well thank you everybody.
04:06This is Fishing for Answers with Reese.
04:08I hope you guys enjoyed it.
04:10Look at me, litter bug.
04:12Look at me cleaning it all up.
04:14Fuck it.
04:15I'm out.
04:16Like.
04:17Really Hurry It won't.
