The Sutherland Shire local hailed an Aussie hero after tackling and disarming one of the Bondi Beach terrorists, has met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as he recovers in hospital.

00:3043-year-old Ahmed Al Ahmed was captured on video wrestling a firearm

00:36from the older of the two gunmen.

00:39Mr. Al Ahmed sustained about five bullet wounds across his left arm

00:44with one into the back of his left shoulder blade.

00:47Thousands of well-wishers have saluted Mr. Al Ahmed's bravery

00:51by donating an incredible $2 million as of Tuesday, the 16th of December, 2025

00:58to a GoFundMe created to support him and his family.
