00:33Nagpunta sa paraysan na ito sa Cebu City si Department of Tourism Sekretary Cristina Garcia Frasco.
00:40Ito'y para personal na ihatid ang plaque na iginawad sa kanila ng Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Distinction.
00:47Pagkilala sa good quality at good value cooking sa naturang kainan.
00:51Ayon sa store supervisor, mas dumami ang kanilang mga customer matapos inalunsyo na bahagi sila ng mga kainang pasado sa panlasa na mga inspector ng Michelin Guide.

01:06Lumaki po yung sales and as of now po, grabe busy po talaga yung store namin every day from Monday to Saturday.
01:14Kinilala rin ang tanyag na S-Men's Carinderia na matatagpuan sa barangay Pasil dahil sa kanilang larang o sinabawang isda na patok din sa masa.
01:25Ayon sa Department of Tourism, patunay lamang ang mga pagkilala sa mga kainan sa Cebu sa pagsisikap ng mga Cebuano na mapalago at mapaangat ang pagkaing lokal.
01:36Well, first of all, in a visitor survey that we have conducted among tourists coming into and going around the Philippines,
01:4517% of their spending accounts for food.
01:50And therefore, we see that food is a driver to bring in tourists and it is a stimulant to the economy because it helps our local communities.
02:01And what we anticipate will happen is that with this attention, global attention being given to our local culinary establishments,
02:13that more tourists who have not perhaps considered coming to the Philippines but know the institutional reputation of Michelin will come to the country for that very reason.
02:25Sa kabuoan, 6 sa mga establishmento sa lungsod ng Cebu ang nakatanggap ng BIP-Gorman distinction.
02:32Samantala, nasa labing dalawang restaurants naman ang nakapasok sa Michelin Selected 2026 list ng Cebu.
02:39Sa isang survey naman na ginawa ng kagawaran, lumalabas na tumaas ang bookings at kita ng mga establishmentong binigyang pagkilala ng Michelin Guide.
02:49We did do a post-announcement survey among the establishments and it is reported by them that they have had increased bookings of,
03:01in the case of Cebu, up to 90%, increased revenues of up to 80%.
03:07In Manila, they have reported 100% increases in sales as well as bookings.
03:14So we're hopeful that these numbers can continue to grow and that business can be sustained.
