00:24This family did not expect the heavy rain to reach Cebu City during the afternoon.

00:29The house was flooded by the family of Lori Eran this Sunday night.

00:35Because of the unceasing rain in Metro Cebu.

00:39A netizen also reported that the motorbikes in the downtown area were also submerged in the rain.

00:44It was as if they were stuck in the middle of the road because of the heavy rain.

00:49They had nothing to do but to wait for the rain to stop.

00:55The rescue teams of Cebu City and the BFP Special Rescue Force Region 7 responded to the wife trapped inside the house.

01:05Because a wall was built near a condominium property in Barangay Tisa.

01:10According to the authorities, the rescue operation took seven hours.

01:15Elisa Batin was killed.

01:17Her husband, Liberato, was saved.

01:20The rescue operation was hard because of the continuous pouring of rain that caused the instability of the ground.

01:31That's why our rescuers were very careful so that there would be no disaster.

01:41Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia of Cebu City called for an investigation of the incident.

01:48I'm not Superman. I cannot solve that overnight.

01:52But at least we're already doing something about it.

01:55We already have plans.

01:57We already have concrete solutions.
