00:00Congratulations on this show.
00:01It is so fun.
00:03Tell me, how are you preparing for it?
00:06How do you, do you watch anything?
00:07Did you watch some Oprah?
00:08Did you watch some Barbara Walters when you sat down and got ready for it?
00:12No, I didn't watch anybody.
00:14I mean, doing The View for seven years was the ultimate learning.
00:18I had Whoopi on one side and Barbara on the other side.
00:21So the comedic and the serious.
00:23And I think I've been doing guest hosting and
00:28sitting on people's couches as the person getting interviewed.
00:32So I think all of that being a co-host on Dish Nation and
00:36doing stand-up, it's like prepared me to do this.
00:39So that's what I bring to it.
00:42Do you do anything in particular to make people feel comfortable to be on your couch?
00:45Or is it just kind of being yourself, your personality, being funny?
00:49I start out, I write everybody handwritten notes so
00:52that when they walk into the dressing room, there's a note from me saying,
00:55we're going to have fun.
00:56I'm excited, you know, then I go upstairs after I talk to the audience.
01:01I go upstairs and give them the biggest hug and the tightest hug.
01:05And I find common ground.
01:07And then, you know, we dance a little bit upstairs.
01:11And then by the time they come down, they're completely relaxed.
01:15You can tell.
01:16You can tell that you just bring that out of your guests and everybody on the show.
01:19Now, you do do it all.
01:21I was just hearing you talk about it.
01:22You have movie, stand-up, the show, Sex Lives with College Girls.
01:27Do you enjoy doing a little bit of everything?
01:31Does it get tiring?
01:31Like, how do you keep the energy up?
01:33Because it's not work.
01:34I'm so fortunate to be able to act and have a talk show and do stand-up comedy.
01:40The only thing I can't do is sing.
01:41I can karaoke.
01:42I can karaoke.
01:44We're doing that for my birthday.
01:45But, you know, I feel very blessed and fortunate to be able to do all of that.
01:49So it's fun to me.
01:50I mean, it must be because you keep doing it.
01:53Because we know what the alternative is.
01:54I could be back at the law firm going, you know, I could type 80 words a minute and do shorthand.
01:59I know what their alternative is.
02:01I'm very thankful to be here.
02:02And season three of Sex Lives with College Girls, one of my favorite shows.
02:06Oh, man.
02:07Oh, my gosh.
02:08Tell me a little bit about what we can expect, what's to come.
02:10We saw some of the girls get politically active this year.
02:13Is there going to be more of the senator on the show?
02:17I am hoping there will be more of the senator.
02:18I have texted Mindy Kalen and I was like, my show ends, I'm available, girl.
02:22Whatever college you want me to be at, I am so there.
02:25So, yeah, it did get more political and I'm hoping that it continues.
02:29You know, and I know as much as you do.
02:31I don't know until I open up the script.
02:33All right.
02:33Well, fingers crossed.
02:35Thank you so much, Sherry.
02:36Thank you very much.
