00:00It was bad luck, but look, they earn it. That's why they are where they are.
00:07They're a brilliant team. I'm not going to complain about luck.
00:10I'm proud of the lads tonight, but obviously it hurts that we've lost the game.
00:30It's tough when you lose in games, but performances can help.
00:38We saw a really committed performance. We're struggling at the moment for results,
00:45but we're not searching all the time for performances.
00:50To come here to arguably the best team in Europe at the moment,
00:56we're not going to be able to open up.
00:58Monday night we took more risks, we opened up and Manchester United did what they did in the second half.
01:03We weren't able to do that here.
01:04We saw a team that were focused, they followed the game plan, they stuck together,
01:08showed a spirit, took the moment when it came and almost delivered a perfect game
01:16in terms of what we can deliver at the moment.
01:18That keeps people together.
01:21The overall possession is interesting because Wolves had 29%, but then when we look at it,
01:30it comes to the games game, but it was one year after it was more like 50-50 while up,
01:36as Wolves had extended periods of time in the ball, resulting in the equalizer.
01:40So how exciting is that for you? And would it be ways for you to play more expansively against Brentford?
01:49Yeah, I mean, we played more expansively in other games. Obviously coming here, it would be difficult to do that from the first minute.
01:55They would pick us off. It wouldn't be the right thing to do.
01:58Once we're 1-0 down, clearly then we've got to play with a little bit more risk.
02:02We made some changes, both personnel and tactically as well, and changed the shape.
02:08And obviously then it was almost perfect. We found a way at the right moment.
02:12We thought it was the right moment to get that equalizer.
02:15Look, I'd love to be able to come here and go toe-to-toe with Arsenal.
02:19If I may be lucky enough in my lifetime to be able to come here and go,
02:23yeah, do you know what? We can go and have a bit of a tear up with these, then I'll be doing all right.
02:27We're not quite there at the moment, so we had to go about it in that way tonight.
02:31You've alluded to this already a thing, but a lot of people out there, they've already lost the rules in the penalty.
02:40If you're going to come to Arsenal and come back close to getting rid of yourself,
02:49can you say to me if that's something for you to build on?
02:53Yeah, of course. I mean, we did it. We went to Villa a couple of weeks ago and we're similar.
02:58We took a lot more on the ball at Villa that day as well. We were good.
03:03We've had two brilliant, I would say brilliant, in terms of following the plan away performances.
03:08We've been a little bit more mixed at home.
03:10So there's certainly things to take. There's a lot of positives there, but there's another loss and that's what hurts.
03:17The dressing room was flat because of the nature of it and how it happened.
03:20In the cold light of day and when the emotion sort of goes, we'll be able to take a lot from it.
03:24There's no doubt about it. I don't see a group of men that have given up.
03:29So we've got to keep going.
03:34Despite what you said about everything, it's bizarre that the Wolves score all three goals.
03:39Yeah, someone would have said to me that at the beginning, we're going to score three tonight.
03:44I'd be like, yeah, all right, take that.
03:48Yeah, it was bizarre circumstances. But again, I just said it in one of the other interviews.
03:53He's aiming for that, for the corner. He'd be aiming for that position.
03:55So it's brilliant from them. But then it's just unfortunate for us how it went in.
04:01Yeah, flat, they're down. Jürsen especially. He's an emotional guy.
04:13I could see him on the floor for a long, long time. It's tough for him.
04:17These are the basic things that we've got to value and do better.
04:20We've got to stop crosses, we've got to defend the box.
04:23You know Arsenal, when they do chop inside, they've got players that can deliver quality and they did that.
04:29What I've got to say is that that one moment then can't change my whole outlook and emotion on the game.
04:36You know, because if almost that hadn't have happened or if we'd have cleared that,
04:39then I could be sitting here talking to you about a brilliant performance.
04:42We've taken a point and we can build on it.
04:44We still should be able to do that, taking that last 90 seconds or so out of the game.
04:49Rob, is it sort of phasing for you that the two substitutes in Mane and Turley would have wanted to combine at that moment as well?
04:56You did put a lot of those sack and fave on the game.
04:59Yeah, I mean, again, I can't remember what minute the goal was for them, their first one.
05:03What was it? Anyone help me with that?
05:05Yeah, so I didn't want to make the change too soon and open up too early.
05:09So it was a case of, we'll make another two changes, 75, 78-ish maybe.
05:15And then it was like Mane was planned for 85 and then we'll just chuck everything at it.
05:20And obviously then we started to get some momentum and we're pushing and that momentum was followed with a goal.
05:27So it was great that the two of them were involved, yeah.
05:29For both of them individually for different reasons, Tony's first premier goal, Mane's an 18-year-old
05:35allowed to come on and have an impact away at Arsenal.
05:38Two big moments for them for different reasons.
05:40Yeah, great moments for them and hopefully they can build on them as well.
05:43Now Mane's obviously a young lad that we like and that's four appearances in a row.
05:48I think he's made for us now as well.
05:51I think he'd come on in the game before we came in as well, so five for him.
05:56Anyway, he's a plus for us and yeah, it's good for Tolu.
06:01You know, he's an emotional guy and I think he's still learning and got lots to do,
06:08but we're going to really try and help him work together to bring more out of him because he's got something.
06:15You approached me, Wayne, as you have them for every game, very close to them
06:20and you seem to encourage the players to go as close as possible.
06:26What was the thought process there, I suppose, and that reception for you, Wayne, was pretty positive.
06:32Yeah, it was very positive.
06:34I think they saw the commitment from the lads and they saw the team that was fighting for them.
06:40I think they understand the situation that we're in and the whole club is in at the moment.
06:45So if they see a team that's fighting for them, playing for the badge and, you know,
06:48the commitment that I've talked about a lot that I want to see from my team,
06:51then I think they can get on board with that even if we don't get points.
06:57So that was good and I always want to try and encourage the lads to show their appreciation.
07:03It's tough, it's difficult.
07:04Fans will be down and I understand it, get it.
07:06But yeah, I'll always do that and try and encourage the boys to do it as well.
07:11The fans are amazing.
07:12I just feel for them at the moment.
07:14How about Ben?
07:15With Craig in the field, he seems to have a bit more defensive stability.
07:18Have you all done this as well?
07:20Do you think the player needs to trigger and impress?
07:22Do you think Ben is going to be an important player?
07:24Oh, he is an important player.
07:25Yeah, he's really good.
07:27I thought he was excellent tonight.
07:29I thought his timing of when to go.
07:31Some of his regains were brilliant.
07:32He was aggressive at the right times and then he gave us a little bit of either a counter-attacking
07:37option or a bit of calm and was able to give us a little bit of the ball and take this
07:41thing out of the game.
07:42So, yeah, he was really good.
07:45And Corecci was, by trade, I know he's more of a defender, but with what we've got at the
07:52moment as well, we wanted to miss him and he provides someone who can play in a couple
07:58of different positions and that's really important.
08:02No, I just think this is how it can go for strikers at times.
08:10I thought he scored a great goal at Vili of the week and obviously got chalked out with
08:15the sort of offside decision.
08:17He's fighting and working really hard for the team and good things will come.
08:21If you keep working really hard as he is, then good things will come.
08:25Thank you very much.
08:26Thanks, guys.
