00:00when we reached the last night at Wembley Stadium in London all of us felt such satisfaction we've
00:16had so many special moments where just like it just reminds me what a concert can do if you give
00:23it your all then again no matter how good a tour is it's a huge massive undertaking it's hard work
00:34that's the challenge that's the adventure and that's what every person on this tour is doing
00:45every single night no matter what's going on we're gonna do everything in our power to blow your mind
00:53my goal for the eras tour is that I didn't want the fans to leave thinking that they missed out on
01:22anything one thing I've always tried to do is like give something to the fans that they didn't
01:27expect when we had done the first half of the tour what the fans didn't know at the time was that I
01:34was writing a brand new album the torture poets department and in the middle of me releasing the
01:40album we had to be all hands on deck creating a brand new era to put into the show to represent
01:45that album doing all of this completely secretly all in like a tiny little break that we had between
02:00Asia and Europe are there sounds from fortnight that are not the synth sound or do we go into like
02:07strings like this feels like a highly elevated chapter we build this top-secret rehearsal facility
02:16for us to lock in the set list go who's afraid a little bit of down bad probably a verse and a
02:26chorus or a pre-chorus and a chorus and that might be it like I would kind of do surgical tweakings to
02:31each song be like okay these songs but cut out the bridge and the second verse of this and then
02:40to tell me everything is not about me and then to make it so that we could fit this many songs in the
02:46show and say they didn't do it to hurt me everyone and and I want and and double as big for I want to
02:57it's not like I'm gonna have a mental breakdown during this song like it's gonna be so fun and
03:01then we put together all new choreography learning choreography all just hearing it in our heads
03:10because they can't play the music on speakers because it's not out yet the first line is did
03:15you really beam me up what I want is for a light to spotlight right on me like it's the alien ship right
03:24into this like crazy like alien light and then yeah there's an entirely new order of the chapters
03:37so I'm relearning the entire show essentially it feels crazy to like take all the pieces apart and
03:45then put them together in different order yeah and I think I'd rather feel this way where I'm a little bit
03:50confused a little bit like what what then being like on autopilot yeah because I could do the show
03:57we were doing in Asia I could do with my yeah at first we're all like we all fear change but then
04:01we got here because we accepted challenges our whole lives oh my god that was a risk that could
04:08have gone so bad there was the danger that we it could have felt like we had sort of shoehorned something
04:13in or that you know people didn't like the new show as much as they like the old show I swear to
04:19god if I heard people online being like I missed the old show I was going to be like oh my god you
04:24have no idea how hard this was to do we're gonna get to watch 45,000 people experience the fact that
04:31they're seeing something that's never been seen before I went out to play our first show of the new set
04:37in Paris the crowd has no idea that we've added a completely new section and rearranged things and
04:44and I am so so excited I love having a good secret when we brought out this new show in Paris it was so
04:53rewarding because all of that secrecy and all of that working during our only time off paid off so
05:01much because the fans were so excited it was such a dynamic new addition to the show
05:07now going into the last show in London I have the opportunity to add to their experience even on top
05:18of that Taylor wants to make the last London show as powerful as possible she's like I want to blow
05:26this thing out we're going to do this right she wants to do Florida with Florence Welch Florence
05:32the Machine performing Florida with Florence is something I've wanted to do ever since the two of
05:38us wrote that song and then it just so happened that she was going to be available in London you're
05:42not nervous about the show you know you know how it runs and suddenly it's something like Florence
05:47coming to do Florida the choreography meets the music meets automation which is the stage movement
05:56and is starting from scratch again I know that when I say to them I want to perform Florida with
06:02Florence I really want to do it with full production I know that it's some kind of creative brainstorming
06:07sessions but I know it's doable because all the dancers the choreographers the production designers
06:13the crew the entire band every person we have is the best one doing it in the entire industry
06:29this is kind of funny we have to rehearse the song we kind of do what we usually do in the comfort of
06:37a studio from the road but also trying to keep things from leaking before the surprise it's a
06:45stadium with no roof so there's like fans outside and say I have to turn the PA off and we have to do
06:50it quietly you know it is so much extra work to keep things a surprise let me tell you I I need a nap
07:03just thinking about it but it's so worth it when it when we can actually pull it off your programming
07:10sounds at soundcheck the dancers are finding a place to work on choreography for it where people
07:16can't find out what's happening you know before you know it I'm in a random ballroom in the middle
07:21of the hotel with Amanda at like 9 30 at night maybe then maybe you'd come off there Florence open up on
07:31the into the diagonals maybe yeah with choreography I asked one of my friends Emma Stone who's done a
07:39lot of work in dance in her films you know who have you worked with that you would recommend for this and
07:44she's like there's only one person that needs to be on your list and it's Mandy Moore I never would
07:49have thought that I would be in the same sentence as Taylor Swift ever in my life you know I've always
07:54been a big fan but I funny enough I come from really more film and television I don't really do
07:59artists performance now I understand why I was brought in she really wanted to do something
08:04different and she likes the storytelling I mean her songs are mini movies so when I listen to them
08:11it's just lyrics and melody swirling with ideas in my head and then you just start making something
08:18yeah is there something about that like thought that yeah and then all of a sudden it comes out
08:23yeah do you want to do seven beautiful gorgeous man love like one two Amanda Balin the first time
08:36that I saw her do her thing she was choreographing the tour she was not a dancer her job was to show me
08:44what I'd be doing with the dancers I would just get so much inspiration from what she was doing as
08:53a performer I just kept saying like you're such a pop star Amanda this was my dream truly it was my
09:03dream to do live shows and tour like this more so than Broadway or anything I just I always was drawn
09:10to this I actually haven't looked at these I just keep throwing them in I started out by doing small
09:18things and then I booked a job as a swing for a Janet Jackson tour which was oh I'd always wanted to
09:24dance for her I went on to tour with Celine Dion what else have I done oh oh I danced for Lady Gaga for
09:31five plus years I toured for five years straight I worked on Glee which was a long-standing dancing TV
09:38show for a while that was a wonderful job I went on to do some films like La La Land I've performed
09:44at probably every major award show with different artists and I've been a part of many tours as much
09:54as you want it to last forever dance isn't a forever career the demand on your body is not
10:01sustainable we can get this strong when you do all those you know wild movements then this can
10:07stabilize your spine helping I have two labral tears in my hip flexors like things were just
10:12breaking down I kind of just decided it was a very tough decision but to gracefully start to
10:18peel myself away from being a professional dancer and to do things behind the scenes I remembered asking
10:29Mandy I wonder if Amanda would ever dance with us and Mandy was like ah she's she's retired she hung up her
10:37dancing shoes a while ago at some point Mandy came to me and said hey the team wants to know if
10:43you want to do the show my first response to being asked to the tour was a chuckle and oh hell no I don't
10:49even know if I could do it being involved in the behind the scenes and then doing it on stage those are
10:54two different things I had doubts in my ability I was worried that I wasn't gonna be as good as I
11:00was when I was dancing but at the end of the day even though there was a lot of fear it was just too
11:08wonderful of an opportunity a second chant I get chills it was a second chance that most people don't get to
11:14have we're counting this song in fast state so it'll be a one two three four five six seven eight oh one
11:26two three four five seven eight she says Anna five two three four on five it's the word weed and you guys
11:35are gonna kind of do like a little bit of a deflate and my friends all smell like weed yeah yeah weed or
11:42little babies and you'll roll up uh-huh and my on the five of the fifth and my friends all smell
11:49like weed or little one two three four five six seven eight okay just so you have an idea and then
11:56guys wet loose hey Dewey Amanda and I were in like an empty ballroom last night just like okay it's just
12:08you know like idiots as you can imagine it's the normal okay Florida one gang gang gang gang it's a
12:17hell of a drug it is always weird I think with choreography because it is true it's like literally
12:23a week ago this thing didn't exist and my friends all smell like weed okay so with the exact oh do you
12:29do this and just roughly but oh freaking great I was like why do they all just do it and then like
12:36the dancers become the accessories to Taylor and to the stage and to the whole experience so it's a
12:42really important thing and I take it very seriously you know I always get nervous when I'm showing Taylor
12:49something for the first time because I ultimately I just want to do well you know like I want to make
12:54her happy because I just you know so much respect for her I love her I mean I was really terrified
13:00the first time I had to store something we can figure this out together but luckily you know since
13:08the very early stages of this her and I have a really nice communication actually I'm gonna need to
13:17travel back to a stage during this part okay Taylor can give me thoughts or colors or ideas and I think
13:23I'm able to understand what she wants visually I want to kind of channel like a rites of spring
13:28Florence machine like like like it's taking our body yeah like like fully like like reaching you know
13:36like like kind of like um like girl in an insane asylum slash wood nymph love it yeah so I mean yes
13:45wasn't nervous I'm always nervous I'm always sweating I'm like oh god did I make the right thing is this
13:49bad choices hello how are you really good how are you doing all right do you want to watch one I
13:56would think kind of see I'll do uh we're just doing the speaker right here yeah yeah hey guys ready to
14:02move okay go for forty three one two three you can get my forty three oh I love that go and the city
14:29oh my god
14:55and then feel like you guys can play here
15:12and then yeah we made this like wave wow could it be kind of cool huh cool I hate that it's happening
15:21without us there you could do it earlier if you want just didn't know if it was whoa so epic back
15:29there and no one's gonna look at it no no because they're gonna be looking at you and I almost wish
15:34that me and Florence could be on that I mean that would be fucking amazing and she's up for it yeah
15:41I'm worried if if me and Florence are here there's people aren't gonna look at it and I and that bothers
15:46me and also I think Florence is like gonna be really she's totally down for for like being in the mix and
15:52doing cool stuff and I did my best like in there to rest all of the bodies and then my body and my mind
16:00they sink into the smoke oh it'd be awesome if it goes down good too then it rises did you know and
16:10totally right then it all rises at the same fucking time and it's awesome and everyone sees it good
16:18okay let's run one more time and now that I've had this chat with Taylor then I can fix all we have all
16:23the elements I just now sort of need to rework them okay good job guys great job a lot of the time when
16:29you are casting for a tour you know choreographers will sometimes have it in their head that they
16:38want a specific body type they want a specific look they want only women they want only men it's it
16:44they people can get very opinionated about things looking very uniform that's not what I wanted to do
16:51with the heiress tour I feel like when you look up on stage as a fan if you see people that represent
16:57you your friends the people you see in the world that's I think much more emotional and more
17:04connective and powerful I really wanted everyone to look up on that stage and think I see myself in
17:10that person spaces like the space that Taylor is curating on a day on a night-to-night basis I wish we
17:21had more of that right even outside of entertaining it's so important to be seen to be heard to be
17:30understood my background as a dancer I had a lot of teachers and professors who were not so kind
17:40mostly around my size and and if I wanted to be a professional dancer I would need to lose weight I
17:47remember doing an audition and the director of the company said to me okay so what are we gonna do
17:52about your body in life some people are going to try to tear you down they want you to do something
17:59else other than the thing that you are in love with and then there are kind people who ground you and in
18:07my experience that's my mom and my brother it's important to know I came from a family with an
18:15excess of love right my mother sacrificed a lot for my brother and I to just have experiences and so
18:25my brother he fell in love with sports I fell in love with dance and we were sort of navigating our
18:31training at the same time middle school high school college and it has been the joy of my life to watch
18:42him thrive and something that he loves so so much now he plays in the NFL and I watched my brother go to
18:50the Super Bowl three times I graduated college and thought I was gonna be teaching dance for the rest of my
18:57life and I remember getting email that said there's a closed audition we cannot disclose who the artist
19:05is but it's being choreographed by Mandy Moore I didn't have like a dollar to my name at the time and I
19:12called my brother I was like listen I don't know what this is but something is telling me that I have to be
19:23in this room he was like okay we will make it happen and he bought me a flight
19:29when he came into the audition I was just like he's magnetic I mean he's a great dancer he is really
19:42well trained he just embodies what I felt was like the spirit of what these people need to be cam is
19:49is someone who absolutely lights up not only the stage but just our entire vibe as a tour he's just
19:57so himself I don't want dancers that blend in I don't care about them pulling focus I want them to pull
20:04focus I want you to feel like you saw an entire crew of individual stars on the stage
20:11now knowing that spaces like this do exist for me that allow me to be the fullest version of me with
20:25with all I have to offer in this body as it exists right now this feels like my Super Bowl
20:34all I did didn't leave my hotel room yeah woke up with a cat on my head
20:46I want you to be a cat we'll get you to everyone's okay yeah morning hi
20:53bonus day is so important because setting a precedent with the heiress tour is really important to me
21:08because people who work on the road if the tour grosses more they get more of a bonus and these
21:14people just work so hard and they are the best at what they do so every single person on the
21:20crew I've handwritten them a note it took me a couple weeks but it's fun to write the notes it's like
21:26fun to to think about everybody's lives that they're gonna go back to and the time off they're gonna
21:32have and the you know the kids they haven't seen because they've been away from months and it just
21:36making that worthwhile for them is like really it just it feels like Christmas morning when you
21:43finally get to say thank you so each one is in its own baggie and I was thinking we can lay them
21:54out oh let me see the wax seal you wax sealed every one of these things yeah and I got in the fire
22:04department almost had to come I want to show you this Taylor six of the audio guys got this tattoo
22:10it says cruel summer 152 shows oh my god and then I don't know crazy I don't know if you remember but
22:18on reputation why is it a grim reaper I have no idea they have to keep it like scary they can't like have
22:25like a tattoo of like a butterfly and a kitty cat I think I think what that means is 152 dates almost
22:31killed them but they made it oh my god that is exactly what it is that's what it means the reality
22:36everybody has the same message on their card so I was hoping you could open it but before before you
23:02look at yours I just wanted to say guys this this leg of this tour has been harder than anything I've
23:10ever done in a live setting and you guys have taken this on with such excitement and such curiosity and
23:16such the endurance you've shown um but the spirit you've shown how much you've given to these crowds
23:22that gives to me every single night the tour has done really well thanks to all of our hard work
23:28so if you will kindly read this message Taylor Swift okay oh
23:38there's Cam we've traveled the world like we set out to do we've dazzled the crowds but we've
23:46missed family too my full gratitude doesn't come from a thing but here's
23:51father was the one that presented the checks to our drivers and he presented handwritten letters
24:20from Taylor it's incredible I know tour truck drivers and I've asked do artists usually give
24:25out these big bonuses unheard of
24:27he's emotional oh my god do you need a hug are you okay I'm gonna pass out
24:37and the first walks uh you know it felt nice if you were going to slow first and then you round the
25:04corner everybody's got their things they're good at uh it's taken me a really long time to be even
25:12fine at choreography Mandy knows how to approach teaching me choreography from a lyrical perspective
25:20what were you doing this these little steps yeah they're just steps um yeah so just starting with
25:25your uh did you think oh yeah almost really on the town you'll get arrested I don't do eight counts
25:33I learn based on what syllable of the lyric I'm attaching a movement to and I can't really learn any
25:40other way I've tried Texas Florida should be yeah I didn't know if it should be like sing it then
25:47throw to them or sing Florida there you go that's what I thought yeah yeah oh sorry to get out there
25:54and learn the choreography in 30 minutes and remember to hit this spot hit this mark this
26:00dancer's gonna come over and stand next to me for this moment front of 90 000 people like my brain would explode
26:08it's an absolute challenge not to mention the whole time she's doing this she's singing and doing all
26:17these things at the same time so it's a lot like juggling for three and a half hours learning the
26:23choreography it's not just doing a step for the sake of doing a step it's all very visual and it makes
26:31sense to me narratively it also is interesting to be in a position where like you know this is a team of
26:38experts and there's something about that that keeps me on my game and focused and locked in
26:44it's one of the elements of like where that kind of pressure is a privilege because
26:50they're not messing up so it better not be me
26:55um okay so uh I feel good okay is it okay if I yeah because we're gonna put Florence in tomorrow so we'll
27:01have you okay perfect perfect we're happy if you I love it I love it I love it I think it's gonna be
27:06so special beautiful job guys beautiful job thanks for the song yeah yeah it's my only job
27:18i'm excited about seeing the show again yeah the driver asked me oh is this your first time to the
27:24show i was like uh no no yeah i don't you know my knee is doing better and i don't really want to be
27:32in the wheelchair i needed a little bit but to get you there yeah but i want to dance tell them i'm gonna
27:39tell them because i feel like a hypocrite if i'm sitting in the wheelchair section and i start popping
27:44off you know i think they'll come and take the wheel you're gonna start what popping off and is that the
27:49move it sounds like that sometimes it's a shimmy uh-huh sometimes it's a roll and when does that
27:56when do it is i have so many and a lot of times it's you guys it's choreography too like
28:03it's this way it's like that that i do that push like it off yeah shake it off shake it
28:09uh-huh i do that move too oh are you ready for it doom doom doom that that's my song i love that one
28:22this experience has been really amazing for me that's okay
28:28i've watched you make so many sacrifices
28:45it's okay
28:48so many for us to be able to do what we're doing
28:52mm-hmm and to um follow those dreams with every part of us and
29:05i am grateful that you're here to see it
29:09yeah because colin and i being able to do what we love to do in such grand spaces
29:17mm-hmm um it's product of how you love us and do so i'm i'm i'm grateful that you're able to um
29:31see pro the the fruits of your labor in this way and i will never not have you
29:40mm-hmm in these spaces with me and and in celebrating with me because just as hard as i've worked
29:49i'm very clear and very conscious of how hard you've worked for us to be able to do so
29:57which is why i try my hardest to take so much care of you i know i know i love you
30:02it's gonna be a good show i know you're gonna enjoy it i'm gonna dance i know
30:14oh yay
30:18you're here you made it
30:20i'm mandy oh my gosh what an honor hi hi i saw the show and it was so amazing
30:35this is gonna be amazing
30:38this is so big no it is it is and it's also it's like a lot of ground to cover here so we're going
30:44to show you and then like the choreography is like we do something and they and it affects them like
30:49where we're just like florida but and they're like um i have performed on big stages but this is not
30:55like i thought i just show up and i run around like because that's what i do at my own shows i
31:01just show up and i run like i just run around you're going to come up on that back lift but you'll see
31:06it and i have never done a lift you haven't oh they're so fun you're gonna have so much fun
31:13when i got there i was like okay now this is your choreo i was like oh no no wait wait you want
31:16me to be confused i don't do this i'm gonna this up jenny one two three you split
31:31wash me away barricaded in the bathroom with a bottle of wine well me and my ghost we had a
31:37hell of a time yes i'm haunted but i'm feeling just fine all my girls got their licks and their
31:43crimes are watching this great okay great so now this is karen and that and tamia's behind you and
31:56rough here so you guys are nice and safe this is going to start rising up on so i did my best okay
32:01oh great and she's going to lay down or she's going to kind of come into if you're okay with this
32:06she's just going to lay her head here and it'd be great if you wanted to connect to her head
32:10on like some things and do my best to lay to rest all of the bodies that have ever been on my body so
32:14it kind of makes sense good all of the bodies that have been on my body and in my mind they sink in
32:23raise your arm up beautiful no sorry on is that is that a bad thing to say okay sorry about that yeah
32:30so sink into the swamp you're still down yes yes sink into the swamp song up i've got it okay good now good
32:41so you pack your life away just wait up shit storm back in chasas florida beautiful one hell of a
32:50draw back center do it again florida then i use what a treat we're similar in that the persona is huge
33:01but the person is soft and so i think that's why we get along externally the thing is really big
33:09but like when we're together we're just like silly and goofy seeing the show the most beautiful thing
33:17was the crowd i like it was just like the love and the vibe yeah i could i was just like this all the
33:24pockets of like girls in their dresses like dancing i was like there's so much joy and like amazing and
33:31like like femininity that's not there's no shame around it no it was so yeah natalie and odi are
33:39standing right here so you just head to the back two girls and then you're going to have your footprints
33:44right there and you just got to go in the middle and i think turn back front yeah and then we'll take
33:49you down and then dewey will be there to to get you at the end okay yeah oh god this is gonna be so
33:56bum can we yes i would love taylor are you good to run this too from a top with the lifts and
34:00everything no that was all we got can you imagine you're like lawrence good luck it's gonna be great
34:06i'm sure you'll be fine good you want to try one all right yeah
34:13ready to go down let's go in my first lift and are you okay if i kind of talk you through and i said
34:19go right yes please perfect what
34:43i've been feeling so alone
34:49i've been feeling so in my head is this in my head i don't know what you think
34:53now to the promise
34:55rolled out away and said
34:57marry me juliet you never have to be alone
35:01i love you and
35:03that's all i really know
35:05i talked to your dad go fit
35:07out a white dress
35:09it's a love story
35:11baby just head
35:13wait
35:15never ever ever ever ever
35:17getting back together
35:21yeah
35:23yeah
35:25oh
35:27oh
35:29oh
35:31i used to think
35:33that we were ever ever ever
35:35and i used to say
35:37never say never
35:39never say never
35:41he calls me up and he's like

36:39No way just to pay for a timeshare down in Destin
36:43Florida
36:46It's one year of Victoria
36:49Florida
36:52Can I see you?
36:57London, Wembley Stadium
37:00My friend Florence showed up to surprise you
37:03How does that make you feel?
37:09Working with my name when it came
37:12I got drunk and I gave it to wash me away
37:15We're hated in the bathroom with a bottle of water
37:18With me and my ghosts
37:20We had a hell of a time, yes I'm haunted, but I'm feeling just fine
37:25All my ghosts got their lace in their cries
37:28But she made a hustle and disappeared
37:31When no one asks any questions here
37:35So I did my best to lay it to rest
37:38All of the bodies that have ever been on my body
37:41And in my mind
37:43They sink into the swamp
37:47Is that a bad thing to say and it's wrong?
37:51Better did you know your home's really owned
37:54In town you'll get a rest in
37:57So you'll pack your life away
37:59Just to wait after the shitstorm back in Texas
38:03Florida
38:05The feeling of coming up for the first time in that lift
38:19It was kind of landing on Mars
38:21Because I'd never seen the stage lit up before
38:23The sound of the crowd
38:25That was really extraordinary
38:27You know it's like
38:28You see this cultural moment from the outside
38:31And I suddenly was like inside of it
38:33It was wild
38:34But it was really fun and completely terrifying
38:38Also Taylor's my friend
38:40And I know her's this like very cozy person
38:43And I came out of that lift
38:44I was like
38:45Oh my god
38:46It's fucking Taylor Swift
38:47It's fucking Taylor Swift
39:03Wembley Stadium
39:04Make the most amount of noise possible
39:06For national treasure
39:07The extraordinary
39:09Flores in the Machine
39:17You know I used to kind of be leaving the shows
39:40And seeing people walk home and think
39:42I really hope they got what they've been waiting for
39:47I hope they got what they've been saving up their money for
39:54There's a feeling I have of such pride and satisfaction
39:59Because when I leave the Ares tour I never wonder that
40:07There's just like this magic in the air
40:10All these particles of shimmer and glitter and confetti
40:15And girlhood and friendship bracelet beads
40:18And you know magic in the air
40:22To the air
