01:00As little kids, I think about the moment that you decided that dancing was your calling.
01:07And the moment that you first saw a band and thought, man, I want to save up for an instrument.
01:14Every single one of us has picked professions that categorically people, for the majority of the time, they tell you you shouldn't do it.
01:24They tell you you should not try to do this.
01:26You have to love the thing so much that you override 85 to 95 percent of the advice you are given along the way by oftentimes people that you respect, people you trust, people in the field.
01:41Everyone in dance, everyone in music will tell everyone younger if there's anything else you can do.
01:48Do that.
01:49And so I'll see you getting rejected, not getting the job, not getting the part, not getting the solo.
01:58I'll see all of those things that happened all along the way, the doors that were shut, the doors that were open, the windows you pried open.
02:06And then sometimes I'll see you when you're older, and I'll think about what you're going to tell your family or the people that you mentor, because every single person in here has the spirit to mentor others.
02:21And to tell them, yes, do it, try it, go for it, if you have that same love for it, and I think about whether that's to your grandchildren or to the little neighbor kid that just wants to talk to you about what that was like.
02:39Everyone likes to talk about phenomenons like the heiress tour, almost as if it was pieces falling into place in some sort of accidental confluence of events that just happened, right?
02:51When I'm thinking about the people that are in this circle, I don't think about it as pieces that fell into place.
02:58I think of each of you as like tectonic plates on the earth that took millions of micro decisions and forces of you pushing and pushing inch by inch closer together.
03:15And the heiress tour wasn't when all the pieces fell into place.
03:19That was just when every single one of us had done so much work to where this tour was just when we all clicked together.
03:25It is our job to make this look accidental, and it is our job to make this look effortless.
03:35But I just want every single one of you to know that I in no way, shape, or form look at this as the pieces just falling into place.
03:41You put the pieces where they are.
03:45This is the biggest challenge any of us have ever done.
03:49Tonight, we complete that challenge.
03:51I think I came up with the idea for the heiress tour about two years before the tour started.
04:20There were two main factors that culminated in the heiress tour.
04:24Both of them were unpleasant.
04:27We think that these bad things are happening to me or to us.
04:32If you flip it around correctly and you react in a certain way, those things can be happening for you.
04:38The first one being my entire catalog of my first six albums was sold out from under me to somebody else.
04:48And I decided to sort of defiantly re-record all of my music.
04:55You know, when you revisit something, you go back into that world.
04:59All this work is so indicative of the time I was in, in my life.
05:04I feel like I'm reading my old diaries, thinking about all the different girls I was until I was this one.
05:10So that planted a little seed inherently in my mind, the idea of celebrating your past.
05:16I think the second factor being the pandemic.
05:19We've built a home studio in my house.
05:22I clung to songwriting as a sort of life raft.
05:26Stop it. Stop. Stop.
05:28I'm recording vocals.
05:29Folklore came out three or four months into the pandemic.
05:33We put out Evermore four months later.
05:35I hadn't toured in five years and the fans had created such demand for it.
05:40I've been loving Taylor Swift since I was 11 years old.
05:44Is she ever going to go on tour again?
05:46And I just thought to myself, what if I did a tour that celebrated all of these different moments in my life and career,
05:54where you have chapters divided up by albums and everything changes when the chapter changes?
06:02She had said to us, this is going to be over three hours.
06:05And we were just like, oh my God, how do we do this?
06:10Not just planning, but executing a tour of this size is mind boggling.
06:16The process of putting together this tour happened in many different phases.
06:21All over the world, happening simultaneously all at once.
06:25You had me doing my physical training six months before we even go into rehearsals.
06:29At this time, the choreographers goes in with the dancers.
06:32We've got the staging and the production design happening simultaneously,
06:35all to coincide with the same start date.
06:38The first day of rehearsal, she got out of her car and had tears in her eyes already.
06:44I'm weirdly emotional right now.
06:45It's so nice to meet you.
06:46I'm Taylor.
06:47Hey.
06:47Hi, I'm Kevin.
06:48So nice to meet you.
06:49I'm Taylor.
06:50I mean, I've been doing this for almost 20 years, a bunch of different artists.
06:55I have never seen that.
06:57I have never seen the boss come into rehearsal crying with tears of happiness and passion about their job.
07:04We haven't done what we love on a stage in five years.
07:08Let's go do this.
07:10The fans have been so amazing and are so excited for the tour.
07:13I wanted to over-serve the fans.
07:15That was my main goal.
07:16I wanted to over-serve them in terms of the amount of songs they were going to hear, the length of the show, what kinds of production they were going to see, different styles of dance, different worlds of dance, wardrobe, how far I was going to push myself.
07:32Oh, my God.
07:34Okay.
07:34Let's do it, my friend.
07:35Here we go.
07:36When you come up with a goal like that, you just have to make a choice and decide there's no going back on that choice.
07:42Let's go.
07:44Good morning, America.
07:52It's Taylor.
07:53I wanted to tell you something that I've been so excited about for a really long time.
07:58I've been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I'm going back on tour.
08:02Oh, my God.
08:05We're doing something very stressful today.
08:07Today is ERA's pre-seal day.
08:09Why isn't it letting us in?
08:11192.
08:12Oh, my God.
08:16We got row five.
08:18Oh, my God.
08:24You did that.
08:26You did that.
08:27You did that.
08:29I'm going to fall.
08:31I think I thought fans would be excited about the idea of the ERA's tour.
08:36This is not real.
08:38Yes.
08:39It is?
08:40Yes.
08:40Really?
08:41This was a completely different thing that I've ever experienced.
08:44Fans of Taylor Swift crashed the Ticketmaster website today.
08:48The demand to see Taylor at that point, I don't think anybody in the industry, expert or otherwise, would comprehend.
08:56And there was enough demand to do 255 stadiums.
09:03I'm actually not in Glendale.
09:04I'm in Swift City.
09:05I'm in Swift City.
09:06Officials actually changed the name from Glendale to Swift City in honor of the megastar kicking off her tour.
09:13So we go from detail-oriented, methodical, exhaustive process, and all of a sudden, in the last week leading up to the first show, everybody is firing on all cylinders.
09:26And then we had opening night.
09:27I'm about to say something to you that I've been just thinking about for years, you know?
09:34Kansas City, welcome to the heiress tour.
09:38Truly, everyone will tell you that none of us knew what the heiress tour was becoming.
09:44Kansas City, welcome to the heiress tour.
09:47She's a once-in-a-generation type of artist.
09:51I would almost compare it to the Beatles.
09:52When people start comparing this to, like, the Beatles and MJ, you just don't expect that what you're getting into is going to be that.
10:00Yeah.
10:02Seattle, Washington.
10:04Welcome to the heiress tour.
10:06You know, her shows, the crowd is kind of always at bananas level.
10:09And this is a whole other gear, you know, or two.
10:12All of the Swifties started jumping around during the song.
10:16They caused the equivalent of a 2.3-magnitude earthquake.
10:20Los Angeles, California.
10:24Taylor Swift, she's more than just a pop icon.
10:26She's a business powerhouse.
10:29Swift's U.S. tour could generate $4.6 billion in consumer spending.
10:33That's more than the GDPs of Granada, Belize, and Tonga combined.
10:38Something experts have dubbed Swiftnomics.
10:41The Taylor Swift takeover seen across the country, leading to the emergence of Taylor Gating.
10:46Even fans without tickets are traveling to tour stops.
10:49I've never seen this before in my life.
10:52This is, like, one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
10:54It's like Woodstock, but without the drugs.
10:57The thing that's so special, it is that community where they get into that stadium and celebrate not just what's happening on that stage, but what's happening with them and how they honor each other and love each other.
11:13It just became this movement.
11:16Kelly, bienvenu dans l'Eras tour.
11:20Stockholm, Madrid, Dublin.
11:23Zuri, Milano, Hamburg, Barschava, Vitaiche, la Eras tour.
11:30I thought that this would be a tour I was very proud of.
11:33This is, like, more than a tour.
11:35It's, like, a force to be reckoned with in global culture.
11:39So never in my life did I think we would have a terrorist plot.
11:49We are continuing to follow breaking news.
11:51Three upcoming Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna, Austria, have been canceled after Austrian authorities arrested two suspects who, they say, had plans to carry out a terrorist attack at the concert site.
12:03According to officials, they found chemical explosives, detonators, and ISIS propaganda at the main suspect's home.
12:11Now the big question is, what's going to happen to the rest of her European tour?
12:15Well, at this point, all of her shows are going ahead as scheduled, including her concert, right here in London.
12:21We're in London at my hotel, and, um, basically, it's just kind of a weird feeling going into these last five shows in Europe because it sort of feels like we've done, like, 128 shows so far.
12:42But this is the first one where I feel like, I don't know, like, I'm, like, skating on thin ice or something.
12:48We just had this, we've had a series of very violent, scary things happen to the tour.
12:56Like, we, we dodged, like, a massacre situation.
13:03And so, I've just been kind of all over the place.
13:06Like, there was this horrible attack in Liverpool, um, at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party.
13:16And it was little kids that, um...
13:29I'm hard to explain.
13:33Latest now on a knife attack that has left at least three children dead, multiple people injured,
13:37at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in England.
13:39The youngsters, aged 6 to 11, were dancing.
13:42I've launched a frenzied assault.
13:45I'm gonna, um, like, meet some of these families tonight and...
13:51put on a pop concert, you know?
13:55I'm gonna be fine, because when I meet them, I'm not gonna do this, I swear to God.
14:04I'm not gonna do this.
14:05I'm gonna be smiling.
14:07So, any of this gets out of the way before you ever go on stage.
14:12You lock it off.
14:13Three and a half hours.
14:14They don't have to worry about you.
14:16It's like you're, like, a pilot flying the plane.
14:20And if you were like, ooh, there's turbulence up ahead.
14:23I don't know if we're actually gonna land in Dallas.
14:25Like, I'm gonna...
14:26I'm gonna try hard, but I don't know if I can actually, like, figure out how to land through this turbulence.
14:31Like, everyone on the plane is gonna freak out.
14:33You just have to have a calm, cool, collected tone of, like, we will be landing in Dallas at 6.05 p.m.
14:41Got a little turbulence up ahead, but it's nothing we haven't seen before.
14:44Just keep your seatbelts fastened, and welcome to the Heiress Tour.
14:48There's something special about this tour, this iteration, this combination of people, this show.
15:15And I think about, like, how much love everybody here is pouring into what they do.
15:21The people who build the stage and hang the PA, and the people who wash the clothes and play the instruments and do all the dancing.
15:27And the only thing we're trying to do is to make the world go away for a little while and make people feel seen and let them scream lyrics that they love at the top of their lungs.
15:35It's so beautiful to find something so positive that can be an escape for people like this can.
15:42And it's amazing that what we've been a part of can do that for people.
15:45So, what happened in Vienna, and the idea of someone being able to rewrite the entire headline of this whole experience with one awful act,
15:55I feel so grateful that it got stopped, but I also felt just so horrible for the fans.
16:15I know that it sounds so stupid to be so upset about this, but, like, that environment of, like, the Heiress Tour, where, like, everyone's so kind and, like, just having fun and, like, girlhood.
16:29Like, that was so much of what I wanted to experience.
16:32Something this moving, this powerful, this rich in feeling and experience represents
16:39more than just people coming to see an artist perform songs, and so we have a large responsibility to do this show and still show up for fans in the way that we can and know how.
16:49Without getting too far into this, I do feel like the world right now is really torn, but I think being a part of this tour, we're shining enough light that it actually feels like, well, man, this is absolutely affecting a lot of lives.
17:04And I think for all of us that are in it, that's a pretty good perspective after Vienna, alright, let's get out and do these shows, because this is why we're doing it.
17:34Bringing out special guests is something that I really enjoy, like, when I get to be on stage with someone like Ed Sheeran,
18:00we can create a unique, special moment, and it really just gives something to the fans that they didn't expect.
18:10I don't know if he thinks he's doing the harmony the whole time and I'm doing the melody.
18:15It's very cool that he would come and do this, because I think it's just gonna, like, really delight people, and I think in a moment when, like, a lot of the fans need, like, a pick-me-up,
18:22because I know I do.
18:26Baby!
18:28How you doing?
18:30So I get to, I'm going to the stadium, and I'll, we'll do a little, I know, we'll do a little dressing room rehearsal.
18:45I love you.
18:46I don't know, how do you, how do you remember 36,000 plays that are all tactical missions and then just go do it?
18:53It's the same.
18:54It's the same.
18:55It's basically the same job.
18:56I got songs to remember, you got plays to remember.
19:00You got teammates, I got teammates.
19:02You've got Coach Reed, I've got my mom.
19:05I want to be there.
19:06I want you to be here.
19:07I want to be there.
19:08Why do you have to be in the NFL?
19:10I want to be there.
19:11I want to be there.
19:12I want you to be here.
19:13I want to be there.
19:14Why do you have to be in the NFL?
19:15I'm going to be scouring the internet for you.
19:16I'm so excited.
19:17I'm so excited.
19:18But have a great practice.
19:19I love you so much, baby.
19:20I love you so much.
19:21I should make my day better.
19:22Thank you, I know.
19:23This was like, some people get a vitamin drip.
19:24I got this conversation.
19:33Hello, it's okay.
19:34Yeah, it's great for you.
19:35That's right back.
19:36Thanks, dude!
19:37mentor.
19:38Thank you, I'm so excited.
19:39I'm so excited.
19:40I'm so excited.
19:41Have a great practice.
19:42I love you so much, baby.
19:43I love you so much.
19:45I know, this was like, some people get a vitamin drip.
19:46I got this conversation.
19:47Oh, Jerry.
19:48So I usually practice in the shower because I'm trying to respect kind of the space and
20:10peace of everyone else. So if I need to do something noisy I go somewhere that people
20:16aren't that much and shower isn't a good enough bet. You know I'm just trying to get a distance from
20:21everybody. It's a lot. I started playing for Taylor in 2007. Amos? Yeah. Hey Tay. Are you wearing my
20:31headband again? I'm wearing our headband. I think if I look back at it now the thing that remains
20:37really constant is there's not a challenge that she isn't going to meet head on and kind of decide
20:44to conquer. And having that kind of energy in the in the lead spot has inspired I can say me
20:51personally to do a lot of the same things. This diamond here is where I'm coming up for the first
20:57for the first thing. When we were in rehearsal for the ERAs tour we didn't quite know yet what it was
21:02going to be what it was going to be called. I remember a meeting I think we're all like sitting
21:06on the floor where she kind of cast the vision. So it's going to start with a chorus of it's really
21:13hard really hard Miss Americana chorus like hard. It's you and me that's my whole world they whisper
21:21in the hall when she's a bad bad girl. And she's like here's my visions what we're going to do. Just
21:27going to hit him with 22 we are never ever getting back together I knew you were trouble and then the
21:31ten full minutes all too well. Yeah. We're doing something from every album. We want to get
21:35straight into Willow. We'll do Enchanted. Girl girl girl pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow with you. And we
21:44got a list of about 40 songs. You pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow. Internally certainly I scoffed. That's
21:52almost three hours. This is this is insanity. Wonder what are we going to cut? And I think we added
21:57three songs. It seems obvious now because it did work. But at the time it's a big risk to decide
22:13we're going to do a three hour plus show. We're going to do it in stadiums and we're going to do
22:17it all over the world. And so a lot of tenured professionals are doing their very best to
22:22quantify what it is about what she's doing that's connecting to everybody. It's just
22:27a show. It's just music. But there's something more profound than that going on here.
22:34Security is being stepped up for Taylor Swift's upcoming London concerts. And this is why
22:58it's such a big deal. This is her first performance since that thwarted terror plot to attack a show
23:03in Vienna. Swifties are already moving in. All of them going to be carefully screened as they
23:09enter this stadium. Police telling us they want to make sure that they know what everyone is doing
23:13inside that stadium. And what are the fans there saying? Are they concerned? Some of the Swifties
23:19said that they were acutely aware of what happened in Austria. But they're excited.
23:23Excited. Thank you so much. We've been here for like four or five hours. We've spoken to people
23:31from like Scotland and England and Israel. I feel like what's happening right now with everyone
23:37waiting for hours and exchanging bracelets and just like everyone making friends. A 10 hours'
23:42wait goes in five minutes honestly. I'm actually quite new Swifty. My flatmate hates me now because I just
23:49play Taylor Swift all the time. She said if you if you like play karma one more time you're going to get
23:55evicted. I want to cry for like joy. Tears of joy is what I want because like this has been such a long
24:02time coming. Like book my tickets over a year ago. Just seeing her face. I know. It's like she's not a real
24:09person. I'm just so excited to like breathe the same air as her. Casting spotlights here and there
24:19across the ground. At a certain point Tracy understood where they were going. Under normal
24:25circumstances she would have felt afraid. She was typically a follower. I've been performing for you
24:31know 20 years. From a mental standpoint being like afraid something's going to happen to your fans at
24:38any moment. This is a new challenge. I want to keep all of the nerves I have away from the crowd because
24:47when you're sort of the ringleader of this show they can sense any kind of shift energetically in you and
24:54you have to really focus on that and factor that in that you're at the heiress tour. Nothing's wrong.
25:00Down the same hallway through which they had entered. Hey. I love you. Suddenly there came two voices.
25:06Male and. Hi. How you doing? Trying to take a nap. No I'm trying to calm down. I'm having a very
25:13physical reaction to my nerves. Why? I'm just I'm just like my hands are shaky and just. Nerves felt like
25:22what happened last week or. Yeah it's just weird. It's just weird. I just have to get this first
25:26show over with. No it's I'm the same way right now I can't. Right? Yeah. I can't relax. I'm just like
25:32twitchy and fidgety and. Yeah. Just. Get the show over with tonight. Get back on the horse.
25:42Hey. Hey. Hey. Oh my god. Hello. Hello. Nice to see you. That's what the doctor ordered. I'm so excited.
25:52Yeah. Thank you for joining us. You guys good? Yeah. Do you. Are you just. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. Sure. You just kind of
26:00flies on the wall for everything. It's basically like every day that I have. Not. Not in Vienna though right?
26:05They were supposed to start in Vienna. But I didn't get to go. Like they. Oh you weren't
26:10even in the country? No I was on the plane headed there. Damn. It was like. I was. I'm just.
26:19You know it's like I just need to get this. I just need to do this show. We. Like remember
26:24the joy of it. Because I'm a little bit just like. You know. And you get time off. I get
26:31two months off after this. Amazing. Which I need. I need more than I've ever needed.
26:34You're going to go somewhere. Because you've seen my schedule. Like. It's like. Heavy.
26:38Yeah. It's just like. Where are you going to. Are you going to choose somewhere to go or
26:41you're just going to live in. I'm just going to go somewhere no one can find me. I just
26:46don't want to be tracked like an animal. Yeah. I just have felt very like hunted lately.
26:51I feel like people have forgot that like you're a human being amongst all of this as well.
26:56A hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah.
27:01You know. It's high. Yeah. It's high. So I can sing the melody. If you want to sing
27:08the harmony. That would be great.
27:08And I. Will. Be loving you. Till it's seventeen. Way better.
27:19I'll do the first verse and first chorus by myself. Just to build tension. And they're
27:24going to be like oh my god oh my god oh my god. Izzy Izzy Izzy. And then after the first
27:27chorus I'm going to be like guys. Like I could even like stop playing. Be like guys. It's
27:31just. There's something's. Something's not. Something's missing from this. I just. And
27:37that's when they're going to start screaming their heads off. When I'm like something's
27:40missing. I just feel like. I feel like I can't do this alone tonight.
27:43I just want to know. You better know. You better know. You better now. I just want to know you.
27:52You better now, I just want to know, you better know, you better know, you better now.
28:00I just want to know you, know you, know you.
28:05All I know is you said hello, your eyes look like coming home.
28:11All I know is a simple day, everything has changed.
28:17If you like catch our breath and like take as long as you want and I'll just follow you.
28:21We were when I was young, we connected when we were a little bit on the first speed.
28:26I got the shoes and chips on both of my shoulders, reputation precedes me.
28:30Rumors I'm needy, truth is it's easier to ignore and believe me.
28:34We are falling in love with you every single day.
28:39I just want to tell you I am.
28:44Honey, now.
28:47I fucked up a chord in Everything Has Changed.
28:51I just want to know, you better know, you better know.
28:55And you actually came up with that, so.
28:59D, and then you just move one finger to there.
29:02Yeah.
29:02You take that one off.
29:04Okay.
29:04So you just, you just sort of move the thing, one finger down.
29:21Precisely, yeah.
29:22Okay.
29:22Okay.
29:23Wait, I'm wrong, but where we are.
29:27Wait, I'm wrong, but where we are.
29:32Ah.
29:33Yeah.
29:42Bye.
29:46Bye.
29:54Bye.
29:58Bye.
29:58Bye.
29:59Bye.
30:33I know you helped them.
30:38I know it doesn't seem like it, but I know you helped them.
30:44From a mental standpoint, I just do live in a reality that's very unreal a lot of the time.
30:52But it's my job to kind of be able to handle all these feelings and then perk up immediately to perform.
31:00That's just the way it's got to be.
31:03That's just the way it's got to be.
31:33That's just the way it's got to be.
32:03That's just the way it's got to be.
32:33so
33:03It's been a long time coming back
33:11To me, that's my whole world
33:14They whisper down the heart when she's a bad, bad girl
33:17The whole school is rolling fingers
33:20You list the games, you're stupid by this
33:24To me, it's nothing like this
33:27Miss Americana, I'm a heartbreak friend
33:30So sad
33:32Okay, that was awesome
33:33See, you've gotten me feeling really, really, really powerful
33:41I'm so sick of finding as fast as I've been
33:46Wondering if I can't make weaker if I was a man
33:51And I'm so sick of finding that I'd be a man
33:55If I was a man, then I'd be a man
34:00I'd be a man
34:01We are never, ever, ever getting back together
34:18We are never, ever, ever getting back together
34:23You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
34:28Now we got problems
34:30And I don't think we can solve them
34:33You made a really deep cut
34:36Baby, now we got better
34:39Cause we got better
34:54But I just feel like I'm not really doing it justice like I feel like
35:24Do you know what I mean?
35:28I just feel so lonely up here, do you know what I mean?
35:35So it's a good thing that Ed Sheeran is here
35:39And all my voice sits all painted blue
35:57But I'll take them down, take them down and open up the door for you
36:02And all I feel in the stomach is butterflies
36:07The beautiful kind, working up the lost time
36:10Taking blood, making it feel right
36:13I just wanna know, you better know, you better know, you better now
36:18I just wanna know, you better know, you better know, you better now
36:24I just wanna know, you better know, you better know, you better now
36:30There's so many hundreds of moments of individual eye contact throughout the course of the show.
36:42I see the mass quantities of joy that everyone's feeling.
36:49What's interesting is, like, there's some joy in the show,
36:52but there's a lot of emotions in this that aren't just, like,
36:56put on your smiley face and come to the heiress tour.
36:59It's so much more.
37:03You look out into the crowd, and this isn't just, like, a blob of lights.
37:08These are millions of stories and all these counter-narratives all colliding in one place
37:13where we feel safe to be demonstrative about a whole spectrum of emotion.
37:19That stuff is really powerful.
37:28Life contains multitudes, and we're kind of exploring all of the dramatic edges of those things.
37:55That's what might be unlocking feelings of joy, feelings of euphoria.
38:02And it still gets me.
38:04It does.
38:04It's so much fun.
38:12It's so much fun.
38:13It's so much fun.
38:17It was so much fun.
38:30We're back.
38:31We're back.
38:32We're back.
38:33We're back.
38:34We're back.
38:35We're back.
38:36Oh, my God.
38:37That was, like, the most fun I've had.
38:41Just knowing how happy they all were, they were just losing their minds.
38:45Good job, everybody.
38:46We're back.
38:50We're back.
38:50We're back.
38:51We're back.
38:52We're back.
38:53We're back.
38:54We're back!
38:55We're back!
38:56We're back!
38:57We're back!
39:03Oh, that's cute.
39:05Oh, my God, we're back.
39:08You're right.
39:09You killed it.
39:11Love it.
39:12Love it.
39:13I'm so relieved.
39:15Anything bad happened that I don't know about?
39:18Nothing.
39:19Nothing's going to happen, all right?
39:20You gotta go, all right?
39:21Okay, bye-bye.
39:22Come and rest.
39:29Love you.
39:30Love you.
39:31Love you.
39:38Oh, my God.
39:39I'm so happy.
39:40I can't even deal with it.
39:41God, I don't know.
39:42It went so great.
39:44I'm so happy.
39:46Oh, my God.
39:48I'm so relieved.
39:49Baby, it's like the crowd knew that I needed a pick-me-up.
39:53When I walked out on stage, they were wilder than I've ever seen.
39:59I'm so happy to be back.
40:01I'm so happy to be back doing this in a functional way.
40:05Like, I was so happy that I thought I was going to forget how to play guitar and sing.
40:09Hi, honey.
40:10I know.
40:11I know.
40:12How does it work?
40:14Basically, what happens now is, like, I'll not be able to get to sleep, because I can't, like, come down.
40:21This is why people need drugs, but I don't do drugs.
40:26So I just, like, let it ride.
40:28I just am like, oh, go to sleep when I'm tired.
40:30And when I'm tired, it's, like, 4 in the morning.
40:32So I watch tons of TV.
40:34I get room for the same bed.
40:36I sign a box of 2,000 CDs.
40:39And then, and then I'm tired.
40:42And then we do the whole thing again.
41:12And then, and I'm ready.
41:13Look at that.
41:14I'm tired.
41:15I'm tired.
41:16Well, I'm tired.
41:21You're so happy to be, you're so happy to be, you're so happy.
41:24You are too happy to be.
41:27And now I'm tired, you're too happy to be.
41:32I'm very romantic.
41:34I was a happy man.
41:35So I'm a very happy man.
41:38I love life.
