00:00Hi, I'm Francesa Santa Croce.
00:02I go to Southwood High School.
00:04My sister was the last student to go off and play college women's basketball, and I'm following
00:08her footsteps to go to the same school, Ave Maria University.
00:12I come from a really small school.
00:14It takes about an hour to get to any training facility for basketball, and taking the time
00:19out of my day to go there and to play basketball is a lot, it's a big commitment.
00:23Growing up, all three of my siblings went off and played college athletics, so it's
00:26been a big part of my family, and I'm excited to keep that tradition going.
00:30It's a great feeling.
00:31I'm really proud, and I think my parents are really proud as well, and I'm excited.
00:36How supportive was she in getting you ready for that?
00:39Definitely, she's been so helpful along the way.
00:41She was so excited that I'm going to the same school as her, as am I, and I can't wait for
00:45the future.
00:46What did the coach say to you when she found out that you were GF for her sister?
00:51When he found out that I was Gianna's sister and that I wanted to continue our legacy at
00:55Aave, he was more than excited.
00:56He asked if I had another sibling to come and continue the legacy even more.
01:00This year, I want to make the playoffs, and I want to go out with a bang, and I want a
01:04banner for me and my teammates.
01:06My dreams in college is to have fun, play, get my education, and look forward to a great
01:11future.
