00:00I needed to introduce someone to you. This is our current council member who is MIA.
00:07This district is so important and she has not shown up to three in-person debates.
00:14We have encampments that have taken over our streets. We cannot walk to our parks with our
00:21children because you'll find poop and pee on the swings. We need something done and we cannot
00:29continue with the council member, a cardboard council member, that refuses to show up. She
00:37makes $250,000 a year. She should at least show up because it's part of her job and she's getting
00:44paid for it. This is really sad. We need change. Let me tell you a little bit about me. I grew up in a
00:52really poor neighborhood, Ramona Gardens, that was plagued by gangs and drugs. The city had neglected
00:57us. The city had forgotten us. I rolled up my sleeves. I created a program for girls to keep
01:03them out of gangs. At 19 years old, I created a program at Hazard Park and I created a program
01:11that now serves thousands and thousands of kids to keep them doing the work that they need to do.
01:18We'll have more time. Thank you so much. Thank you.
