Bria Vinaite Talks 'The Florida Project' and getting famous on instagram
Transcript
00:00Hi, I'm Bria Vanaita.
00:03I mean, just be yourself.
00:05Just because people are doing things that you might think are cool,
00:10but you might not agree with them, you don't have to do them.
00:12Just whatever wave you want to kind of flow with,
00:14just as long as it's true to you,
00:16I feel like the right people will kind of cross your path
00:18because they'll see you for who you really are as a person
00:21instead of this fake person.
00:23I feel like a lot of people just make up these identities for the internet,
00:26and it's really nice to just not have to do that.
00:29I really feel like everything happens for a reason.
00:31I really feel like manifesting is very real.
00:33If you believe something's going to happen in your life, it will.
00:36As long as you genuinely believe in it and push away all negative thoughts,
00:40like, it will happen.
00:41And there are connections around you everywhere.
00:44Like, 17, I started telling everyone that I had this crazy feeling about me being 23.
00:51I was like, when I'm 23, that's when I'm going to figure my life out.
00:53That's going to be the year that, like, something happens.
00:56I don't know what, but just watch 23.
00:58I started, I turned 23 on June 10th, and I started filming on June 23rd of my 23rd year.
01:05So, like, it was, like, the double 23.
01:07And I felt like I manifested, like, that day in my life
01:11because I was always, like, 23, 23, 23.
01:14And then I turned 23, and on the 23rd of that month, I start filming this amazing movie.
01:19Like, it's just too much a, like, coincidence to be coincidental.
01:22For sure, Haley is a young mom.
01:26She's fun. She's carefree.
01:28She is a young adult.
01:31She's trying to figure, kind of, her whole life out on top of taking care of a child.
01:35She is angry about some things.
01:38I feel like, you know, she's been through a lot, so she's a little rough around the edges,
01:41but she's still a really good person, deep down.
01:43She's definitely been to jail.
01:45She doesn't have a formal education.
01:47She's unemployable.
01:48She has to take care of a child.
01:50She doesn't have the money to have a babysitter, all these things.
01:54So she's kind of just trying to, she's in survival mode, just trying to figure it out however she can.
02:00She puts her daughter first before her and before her wants and needs,
02:04and to me, that's very admirable.
02:06So to me, I admire that because she kind of keeps it to herself
02:09when she really could just be breaking apart and kind of, like, putting it out on her child,
02:14but she never does that.
02:15I mean, she does sex work.
02:17I don't know what she'd call herself, but...
02:19I definitely had my concerns because I'm not a trained actress,
02:22and I really just wanted to do a good job to make him proud
02:26because he just believed in me so much.
02:28No, he actually reached out to Sean because he loved the film.
02:31I'm very happy he likes it.
02:33He's cool. He's such a cool person.
02:35No, I would never want to say.
02:40I mean, that's such a dream.
02:42I'm not even, I have to, like, take it day by day at this point
02:44because even thinking that far ahead is just crazy.
