00:00Always a good night when I'm hanging out with this beautiful lady, Normani, how are you tonight?
00:04I'm blessed. I'm excited.
00:06I mean, blessed and excited. This is crazy.
00:08So launching a clothing brand, like, why was it important for you to do this?
00:12I mean, I always feel like expression is important, you know, whether that be through film, music, fashion,
00:17which has always been important to me, even if it's, you know, hair, makeup.
00:21I'm a girl that loves to get dressed.
00:23I watched my mom, watched my grandma growing up, you know,
00:26and they really inspired me and a lot of the pieces within the line.
00:29So I thought that it was the most perfect timing and alignment for me is always really important.
00:34I mean, I saw a couple of the pieces. Cute girl. Cute.
00:38I mean, you talked about your parents. I love that.
00:40Like your grandma, like what was the inspiration behind when you were creating these?
00:44Nineties, early two thousands.
00:46I think just when I think about fashion, being a little girl around that time,
00:51I feel like it was always just one of the best eras in decades.
00:55Not wrong there.
00:56Yes. Even just before my time, like whether it was fashion, whether it was the TV shows, sitcoms, fashion,
01:04the women, the hair, the makeup, just everything I feel like.
01:06And everybody already knows. I love nostalgia.
01:10I mean, all I was thinking about right here was even how iconic the motivation video was.
01:14Thank you. Thank you.
01:15You know that pocket really well.
01:17I do. I do.
01:18I've definitely studied pretty well.
01:21I mean, well, who are your fashion inspirations?
01:23So who are some people that you feel like you could credit right now in the entertainment industry?
01:27I mean, always Rihanna, you know, she the one and not the two.
01:31Yeah, never.
01:32Fashion, baby, she gonna step. So absolutely.
01:35Okay. And then why was it important for you to partner with this brand specifically?
01:38Because I feel like obviously, you know, everybody not a celebrity like you.
01:41So being able to have an affordable brand to partner with, how important was that?
01:45I mean, for me, I feel like it's incredibly important to be aware of the climate that we're also in.
01:50So I acknowledge that. And I wanted to give my fans something affordable and that they could attain, you know,
01:55but also feel really good about and feel elevated and feel like affordable luxury, you know?
02:01Like I feel like every everybody, an individual deserves to feel good.
02:07So I love that. And then, of course, on Billboard, I got to ask you a little bit about music.
02:11So have you been motivated lately? Like where's music right now? What are you thinking about?
02:16Oh, I have so many trips up my sleeve.
02:19Like, oh, you got some tricks coming.
02:20Yes, I'm very excited. A lot to look forward to and to be excited about in 2026.
02:27Yeah.
02:27I mean, even seeing you with the girls again with Fifth Harmony, obviously, I mean, the Jonas Brothers, that was a perfect thing.
02:32So how was it to be on stage and have that moment?
02:34I mean, it was really full circle. You know, I feel like God, his timing is divine.
02:39And I really, you know, I'm big on my faith. And so I just feel like what better time than now?
02:45And there have been a lot of conversations, you know, spending more time.
02:48And it's good. It's healing.
02:50That was exciting to see.
02:51And of course, the girl group torches keep getting carried on.
02:54Have you seen Cat's Eye? They obviously pay so much attention to you guys and honor.
02:58So how is it to see them come up?
02:59No, I love them. You know, I feel like I mean, like I said, I am a girl's girl.
03:03And I've always been inspired by girl groups ever since I was a little girl, whether it was Destiny's Child, TLC, In Vogue.
03:10I mean, yes, classics.
03:12And so for us to I don't know, I guess just kind of be a part of that.
03:16But just watching the new generation really just thrive and honestly doing some things even better.
03:23You know, OK, let's do this.
03:25Them girls can dance.
03:26They can dance. They can dance.
03:27And then lastly, it's the holidays. What are your plans coming up?
03:30How are you planning to spend the moment?
03:32I'm going to spend time with my family, you know, my mama, my daddy, my grandma, my cousins.
03:38And so I'm really excited for Christmas, for the new year and just really taking a step to our opportunity to just like unplug and recharge.
03:46Because, like I said, the next year is going to be go, go, go.
03:49Oh, we cannot wait. Now you're teasing me.
03:51I'm like, what is she doing, y'all?
03:54Thank you so much for talking to me.
03:55Oh, I'm all of a sudden like happy holidays, y'all.
03:56I want to instantly in my head.
03:59I'm like, thank you so much.
04:01I love you, girl.
