00:00Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is under fire for using nearly $50,000 worth of campaign

00:07funds to live it up in Puerto Rico. It seems she was down there for, among other reasons,

00:12one of Puerto Rican rapper and future Super Bowl halftime performer Bad Bunny's residency shows.

00:17Now, before we get to the details of where the money went, I should note that the liberal

00:21congresswoman has taken to social media to denounce the gentrification that she saw happening on the

00:26island. Well, what's good for the goose is apparently not good for the gander because her

00:31principal campaign committee shelled out more than $11,000 to stay at the same lavish hotel on three

00:38separate occasions. On a fourth trip, almost four grand was dropped on another fancy hotel. Then

00:43there was more than $10,000 charged for meals and catering and $23,000 on a venue rental at the same

00:49location as Bad Bunny shows. When asked about the charges, a spokesperson said in part that Ocasio

00:54Cortez, quote, regularly travels to Puerto Rico to support local causes and host events that require

01:00both staff and security.
