00:00Time magazine has named its person of the year and is more than one.
00:04The periodical chose who it called the architects of AI as having the most sway or impact in 2025.
00:11That includes NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, as well as researchers, scientists and others who've made contributions to AI.
00:19Time's cover story described AI as world-changing technology with both positive and potentially harmful impacts.
00:25The magazine's deputy editor said that its person of the year is a recognition, not an award or an honor.
00:32A decade from now, I hope that people look at this cover and the accompanying journalism
00:37and see that we were trying to grapple with the awesome power of the thing that is AI.
00:42Looking at all parts of it, looking at the players that are driving it forward.
00:45And even though I have a feeling it might be outdated in 10 years, it'll still be a great marker of history,
00:52which is often what person of the year aims to be.
00:54Time is one of many media outlets that have licensed its content to AI companies to develop their models.
