The Vampire Diaries Season 6 casts Marco James as Liam a med student from Whitmore College. New details on Caroline too.

00:03The Client List star Marco James is set to join Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries

00:08in a recurring role as a super-smart med student at Whitmore College named Liam.

00:13Liam actually comes from a family of doctors,

00:16which would explain what has been described as his talky attitude.

00:20But apparently, the guy does have some endearing qualities.

00:23Besides being attractive, he's also described as good-natured.

00:26Sounds like somebody one of our TVD ladies may fall for, but who would it be?

00:31Here's our theory.

00:32Executive producer Julie Plek previously told reporters,

00:36quote, the theme of the season is everybody gets to start over.

00:39That could easily refer to Elena,

00:41who may have lost Damon to the other side for good in the Season 5 finale.

00:44Do you think it'll hurt?

00:50I don't know.

00:52Then there's Caroline.

00:53According to Plek, we know that she is starting to accept that she has feelings for Stefan,

00:57but the question is, will Stefan reciprocate those feelings?

01:00That's what we'll have to explore in Season 6 and see where we go.

01:03If the answer is no, maybe Liam comes in to pick up the broken pieces of Caroline's heart,

01:08or even better, make Stefan jealous.

01:10We can't wait to find out.

01:12James is set to make his first appearance on the Season 6 premiere, airing October 2nd.
