West Australian authorities warned that bushfires burning in the Perth suburb of Kenwick threatened lives and properties on December 11, 2025. Dramatic footage shows the blaze coming within metres of a major highway.

00:05out-of-control bushfire burned through Kenwick, a suburb of Perth, on Thursday December 11.

00:11The blaze was one of two fires that broke out locally, with another in Bullsbrook, north of Perth.

00:18Footage from Bad Honour Hamid shows the flames just metres from the major arterial route,

00:23the Roe Highway.

00:37The two fires have since been downgraded from the highest emergency warning

00:41to the lower watch and act.
