00:00Hello and welcome to this New South Wales Janesweather update for Friday.
00:04We have got a fair bit of rain that is happening in the eastern part.
00:0873 millimetres at Norahead, we've got 63 up in the northeast there.
00:12This is showers and thunderstorms tending to areas of widespread rain.
00:16You'll notice most of it is in the east, but we also had activity overnight in yesterday in through here.
00:21So let's have a look at our warnings currently.
00:24We've got them in through these parts.
00:25Let's now zoom back in here and we'll turn these rainfalls off so that we can see.
00:31There is our severe thunderstorm warning current as of about 9.15am.
00:37We've got that one there and then also this one here just south of Newcastle.
00:41So they can produce some heavy falls.
00:43There they are for the moment.
00:44Our heat is confined to the far northwest corner.
00:47Let's go day by day and have a look at that.
00:48That's only in Queensland.
00:50And by Sunday, nothing there.
00:52And Monday, nothing there.
00:53The heat is likely to come back in mid to late next week.
00:56OK, let's have a look day by day.
00:58Here's our shower and thunderstorm area.
01:00So the threat zone for today.
01:02And there can be some pretty heavy falls if you're directly underneath a storm.
01:05So that's during the day on Friday.
01:07Have a look at Saturday.
01:08It moves across the western parts.
01:10Here's the trough by the end of the day running down into the southeast.
01:14So that is moving in through here.
01:16And anywhere out to the east of that trough line, we have the risk of showers and thunderstorms.
01:20So they're going to come into Sydney late.
01:22Have a look at Sunday.
01:23There it is confined to the northeast corner and just into the southeast as well.
01:27That's some wet weather moves across the southeast.
01:30Moving into Monday.
01:31Now we're just in that wedge in through there.
01:34By Tuesday, it is up in through here.
01:36Wednesday, pretty much all gone.
01:38Starting to come back down into the west.
01:40Thursday and then Friday.
01:42Potential for some wet weather at the end of the week.
01:45All right.
01:45What might that add up to?
01:46Here we are.
01:47Anything yellow, 25 to 50 millimeters.
01:49A heavier falls in through there.
01:50And again, if you're under a thunderstorm, then yes, it will bring a heavy fall.
01:5425 to 50 here southwest of Sydney.
01:57All right.
01:58So for Sydney, what are we looking at?
01:59Showers and thunderstorms are likely today.
02:02If you get a storm, yes, it may be severe.
02:04Tomorrow, 25.
02:06We're partly cloudy.
02:07We're looking at potential for wet weather during the evening.
02:10So the day is dry.
02:12On Sunday, that is early.
02:13And then it turns partly cloudy.
02:14So the next burst is Saturday night into Sunday morning.
02:18Temperatures rise during the day on Sunday.
02:21Back down on Monday, down to 20.
02:22We've got showers early and late.
02:2520 on Tuesday.
02:26And we've got cloudy skies.
02:2824, 26 and 28.
02:30As our conditions clear, we're lots of sunshine by the end of the week.
