00:00Trump White House fumes over Democrats' smear campaign
00:03White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt came under fire for exposing the identity of a victim named in a partially redacted email, written by Jeffrey Epstein, News.com can report.
00:15In the bombshell message, the predator claimed his old friend Donald Trump had spent time with the victim at Epstein's home.
00:21After obtaining tens of thousands of documents from the disgraced financier's estate via a subpoena, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a handful of emails mentioning Trump.
00:31He also wrote, redacted victim name, spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned, police chief, etc., am 75% there.
00:41Levitt told us in a statement, the Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.
00:48The unnamed victim referenced in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and couldn't have been friendlier to her in their limited interactions, she continued.
01:02But social media critics weren't convinced by Levitt's explanation, with many slamming the White House for using the deceased and prominent Epstein victim as deflection from the email's serious implications.
01:13Another ex-user cast doubt on Levitt's claims, arguing, by saying it was Giuffre, she could pivot to the claim of friendliness, etc.
01:21If it was someone else, she didn't have a pivot.
01:24During a tense press briefing, Levitt was pressed on her statement about the Epstein emails and whether or not Trump spent hours with a victim at the convicted predator's house.
01:33Levitt fired back, these emails prove absolutely nothing, other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.
01:39Jeffrey Epstein died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on trafficking charges.
