China has successfully carried out the first flight of the Jiutian, the world’s largest mother drone, designed to launch more than one hundred attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in swarm operations.
The test, conducted in China’s Shaanxi province, was officially announced by the state-run Xinhua agency. Videos of the operation quickly spread across social media, highlighting the technological milestone of a system first showcased to the public during Airshow China 2024.
