00:21The House of Representatives has designated the House contingent to the bicameral conference committee on the proposed 6.793 trillion pesos national budget for 2026.
00:35Among them are House Committee on Appropriations Chair Michaela Swan Singh, Appropriations Senior Vice Chair Albert Garcia, Deputy Speaker Christine Mijan, and Palawan 2nd District Representative Jose Alvarez.
00:48Also part of the House contingent are Davo de Oro 1st District Representative Maria Carmen Zamora, Surigao del Sur 1st District Representative Romeo Momo,
00:57Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Representative Rufus Rodriguez, and Camigin Representative J.J. Romualdo.
01:03Other members include Paranaque 2nd District Representative Brian Yamsuan, Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Javi Benitez,
01:11Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, and LPGMA Partylist Representative Alan T.
01:16Meanwhile, during the plenary session yesterday, lawmakers also approved House Concurrent Resolution No. 8,
01:22which mandates the implementation of an open bicam or the live-streaming of the entire process.

01:31House Deputy Minority Leader Laila de Lima thanked the House leadership for heeding the public's call.
01:36According to House Committee on Appropriations Vice Chair Zia Alon to Adyong,
01:40this will significantly strengthen transparency and accountability in the budget approval process.
01:46For House Senior Deputy Minority Leader Edgar Erice, given the close scrutiny of everyone on the budget,
01:52paired with protest actions against corruption, Congress is now certain to pass a better budget compared to previous years.
