China’s commerce ministry announced that negotiations with the European Union over a minimum price plan for China-made electric vehicles have resumed, with talks scheduled to continue next week. The statement comes after the EU raised tariffs on Chinese EVs to as high as 45.3% last October.
Beijing also said it supports active consultations between Wingtech and Nexperia, urging the Dutch government to allow company representatives to visit China and create conditions for internal resolution. The two companies remain locked in a dispute following Dutch state intervention in Nexperia earlier this year.
This video covers both developments and their implications for China–EU trade relations and the semiconductor sector.
