The best digital TDS meter combines accuracy, reliability, and ease of use, making it an essential tool for anyone who cares about water quality. Whether you are testing drinking water, maintaining an RO/DI filtration system, or monitoring the conditions of your aquarium, a high-quality meter helps ensure that your water stays clean and safe.
A modern TDS meter doesn’t just measure Total Dissolved Solids; it also checks EC (Electrical Conductivity) and temperature, providing a complete picture of water purity. With a wide measuring range and fast response time, it allows users to detect changes in water quality quickly. Most models feature a clear digital display, automatic temperature compensation, and simple calibration, making them user-friendly even for beginners.

In this full review, the advantages are clear: a good digital TDS meter is portable, accurate, and essential for monitoring filtration performance, protecting aquatic life, and ensuring high-quality drinking water every day.

00:00Okay, so here I have this water tester and I'm going to do a quick review on this
00:03I'm going to tell you everything that you should know before buying it and if I think it's worth it
00:06So the reason I got this is because I wanted to see how clean and how pure my water actually is
00:12You get the tester itself and you also get this cool little case to put it in
00:16So how this works is that you actually put these prongs into water
00:20And then it'll tell you how pure your water is
00:22And on the back it actually shows you a little graph so you can see what your water rating means
00:27The closer to zero your water is the better it is. So i'm going to do a quick little test
00:31I'm going to test my tap water versus my filtered water and see the difference
00:35And what's also cool about this is that it not only measures the total dissolved solids, but also measures the temperature too
00:41All right, so now let me get a glass of tap water
00:43Just like that and then i'll get a glass of filtered water in a different glass
00:49There we go
00:51All right, so we got the tap sink water and we also got the tap water but filtered through my brita filter
00:57We'll test the tap water first
00:59247
01:01That's not good 248 parts per million
01:04Let's look on the back and see how bad that actually is
01:06So 248 is considered marginally acceptable
01:10It's in the average tap water range, but if you're drinking tap water daily, you'd want something much more pure than that
01:16All right, we cleared it now. Let's see how pure this filtered water is
01:20158
01:22Okay, still not great, but way better than the unfiltered water
01:26158 is a little better than marginally acceptable
01:29But still not ideal. Maybe it's time for me to get a reverse osmosis water filter
01:34But yeah, overall this thing works pretty great
01:36And if you're looking to test your water, I think this is a great choice for a tester and I would definitely recommend it
