00:11Hey guys, Devontae for Hollywood Life with your music roundup starting with Selena Gomez.
00:17The former Disney star took to social media to say, quote,
00:21After thinking about how best to use my social media, I decided that we all need to hear
00:25more from black voices.
00:27Over the next few days, I will be highlighting influential leaders and giving them a chance
00:30to take over my Instagram so that they can speak directly to all of us.
00:34We all have an obligation to do better and we can start by listening with an open heart
00:38and mind.
00:39Now let's switch to Billie Eilish because she just opened up a lot in a new interview with
00:43British GQ.
00:44The topics range from, of course, the way she dresses to other topics that aren't brought
00:48up as much like how much she wanted a boyfriend in the past and being homeschooled.
00:53But Billie also spoke about the time when bullying on Twitter nearly caused her to take her
00:57own life, but her mother helped save her.
00:59Billie said, quote,
01:00My mother and brother were with me before that moment and they were like, we're going
01:04out to get food.
01:05Are you going to be okay alone?
01:07And I was like, yeah, I'm fine.
01:09However, her mother knew something was wrong and texted the tour manager who came to Billie
01:12while her mother and brother were out.
01:14Billie said, quote,
01:15There was a knock on the door and he came in.
01:17He made me laugh and joked around.
01:19I asked him, did my mother tell you to come here?
01:21He replied, maybe.
01:22Eilish also revealed she's, quote, never felt desired.
01:26She said, quote, my past boyfriends never made me feel desired.
01:29None of them.
01:30It's a big thing in my life that I feel like I have never been physically desired by someone.
01:35So I dress the way I dress as I don't like to think of you guys.
01:38I mean, anyone, everyone judging it or the size of it.
01:42And let's stick with Billie for one more story because yesterday she posted a video to her
01:46IG story as she took a knee during a peaceful protest in LA.
01:50And finally, let's switch gears over to Cardi B. Earlier this week, Doug Kulk, a news anchor
01:55at LA's KTLA, mistakenly told the station's viewers that Cardi B was promoting violence
02:01with her recent IG posts about protests and riots.
02:05Once Cardi caught wind of this, she dragged him all over social media, which led him to
02:10apologize on Twitter and on air.
02:12Kulk said, quote,
02:13I apologize to Cardi B if I took her words out of context.
02:17I respect her for using her platform to connect with people during these difficult times and
02:21it was wrong of me to not let her full voice be heard.
02:24But alright guys, make sure you hit that sub like and bell button and stick with us for
02:28all the latest.
