US President Donald Trump said he plans to call the Prime Minister of Thailand to address the recent clashes with Cambodia. Claiming he has settled eight wars in the past, Trump described the ongoing tensions as a “little flame” he intends to put out. He expressed confidence in his ability to quickly mediate between the two nations and prevent further escalation.

00:00I think I'll have to make a phone call.
00:02I was going to say that Thailand and Cambodia, one of the eight that I settled, they've been
00:07fighting for a long time, they've been fighting for a very long time, many, many, many decades.
00:13But I got along great with both.
00:14I found they were two great leaders, two great people, and I settled it once.
00:21I think I can do it pretty quickly.
00:22I think we're scheduling a phone call tomorrow.
00:25With Thailand, if you, you know, just to answer Steve, with Thailand and Cambodia, I think
00:36I can get them to stop fighting.
00:40Who else can do that?
00:42Think of it.
00:43So late wars, every once in a while, one will flame up again, and I have to put out that
00:48little flame.
00:49I have to put it out, but we're going to put it out again.
00:51So I think I'm scheduled to speak to them tomorrow and see if I can ... It was unfortunate
00:57what happened.
00:58I mean, I know exactly what happened.
00:59It got it sorted a little bit, but we'll see if we can put it out.
01:03We're interested in the seizure of this tanker.
01:05What happens to the oil on that ship?
01:07Well, we keep it, I guess.
01:09Where does it go?
01:10What does it go to?
01:11Well, you have to follow the tanker.
01:13You know, you're a good newsman.
01:14Just follow the tanker.
01:15Do you know where to go?
01:16Follow it.
01:17Follow it.
01:18Follow the tanker.
01:19Is it true he's going to keep that?
01:20But we're going to ... I guess soon we're going to keep the oil.
01:23Mr. President, I'm Fed Chair.
01:24Kevin Hatch said you were going to announce your decision within the next two weeks.
01:28Is that correct?
01:29Maybe.
01:30Are you doing your interviews with finalists today?
01:33Well, I'm meeting with Kevin Warsh today, so I'm meeting with him.
01:37And I sort of have a very good idea of what I'm looking for.
01:40Again, I'm looking for somebody that will be honest with interest rates.
01:46I just want to honestly, our rates should be much lower.
01:49Our rates should be the lowest rates in the world.
01:52Because all these countries that you see, you know, with low rates,
01:56many of them are low because of us.
01:59Because they suck so much money out of us.
02:01But that's not happening anymore.
02:03We should have the lowest rates in the world.
02:05And without us, none of them really exist as an economy.
02:09I mean, I can show you these really prime, really wonderful countries.
02:13They've had nothing but success.
02:15It's because they took so much out of the United States.
02:18I mean, it's one of those little problems.
02:22I want to see that when we do well, we're rewarded for doing well,
02:27not the way it's been for the last pretty long period of time.
02:39You mean the potential for us to have the track but it's been for the long period of time?
