00:00The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounced and strongly condemned through a statement
00:05the attack on a Venezuelan oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea.
00:08This act was publicly announced by the President of the United States.
00:12The statement refers, this new criminal act adds to the theft of Citgo, an important asset
00:19of the strategic patrimony of all Venezuelans, seized through fraudulent judicial mechanisms
00:24and outside the bounds of an illegal norm.
00:27The statement continues, in these circumstances, the true reasons for the prolonged aggression
00:33against Venezuela have finally been revealed.
00:36It is not migration, it is not drug trafficking, it is not democracy, it is not human rights.
00:42It has always been about our national wealth, our oil, our energy, the resources that belong
00:48exclusively to the Venezuelan people.
00:50Finally, the statement concludes, the Bolivarian government reaffirms that it will appeal to
00:55all existing international bodies to denounce this grave international crime and will defend
01:02with absolute determination its sovereignty, its natural resources and its national dignity.
01:08Venezuela will not allow any foreign power to attempt to deprive the Venezuelan people of
01:13what belongs to them by historical and constitutional rights.
