00:00Rick Ross disses 6ix9ine in a new song, DJ Academics is accused of being the informant
00:08in Tekashi's crew, plus Travis Scott's team responds to Tommy Lee's plagiarism claims.
00:12Hey guys, it's Devontae for Hollywood Life. Let's kick things off with Tommy Lee and Travis Scott.
00:20Recall yesterday we told you that Tommy Lee of Motley Crue called out Travis Scott for
00:24apparently copying his 360-loop roller coaster design from his band.
00:28Well, TMZ reports that Travis's attorney told them Tommy didn't invent the concept
00:32of a roller coaster on stage and there's no legal basis for his accusatory outbursts.
00:37The actual creator and owner of the system has granted Travis all the rights to use
00:42that equipment to complement his original stage design.
00:45Tommy Lee hopped back on Instagram to complain about the situation
00:48and even makes reference to the rapper's auto-tuned voice.
00:51But okay, on to your favorite celeb, Tekashi 6ix9ine.
00:55TMZ caught up with Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary outside of Benjamin Prime's stake
01:00and it seems the 64-year-old entrepreneur is a fan.
01:03Yes.
01:03Do you know who Tekashi 6ix9ine is?
01:06I mean, who at this point doesn't know who he is?
01:09I do, I do.
01:10Um, you know, as a businessman, how would you recommend him, you know, sustaining his
01:15marketability? Because clearly it's working.
01:17You won't have to.
01:17Despite the circumstances.
01:19What will sustain him is the great music.
01:21Yeah.
01:22But he's gotta pay his time.
01:24But I appreciate an artist.
01:26I love an artist.
01:28In other Tekashi news, the other day federal agents announced that 6ix9ine's crew had a
01:32snitch in it. Recall we told you that the crew had been wiretapped and prosecutors revealed that
01:37they are working with an informant. 6ix9ine's lawyer Lance Lazaro told TMZ anytime there is a
01:41confidential informant, there is cause for concern.
01:44But who's the informant? Well, one hip hop blog called out DJ Akademiks as the snitch.
01:48TMZ reports that they spoke with Ak and he told them that the claims are completely untrue.
01:54The blogger told TMZ he quote has zero connection to the criminal case against
01:58Danielle Hernandez and other co-defendants. He continued by saying all these charges are
02:03a shock to me and do not involve me. I have never been questioned or much less cooperated in
02:08this. I am just a news reporter. I feel you Ak.
02:11According to the outlet that started the rumor, they received the information from
02:14Shottie's lawyer Scott Lamont. However, Scott also spoke with TMZ and told them quote,
02:19I never made any public statements regarding this matter. Any statement attributed to me is false.
02:24I have never given anyone an interview about this case.
02:27Despite all of this, Lance Lazaro is still confident that the recorded convos the informant
02:32provided will do more good than bad and prove that Tekashi is innocent.
02:36Sticking with 6ix9ine for just a bit longer. Hang in there. Rick Ross shades the rapper in his verse
02:41for What's Free off Meek Mill's new album, Championships. In the song, Ross says,
02:45Screaming gang gang, now you want a rat. Racketeering charges caught him on a tap.
02:49Looking for a bond, lawyers want a tax. Purple hair got them guys on your back.
02:53Damn, this is definitely a line 6ix9ine will respond to. If he wasn't locked up, that is.
02:58But alright guys, hit that sub, like, and bell button and comment your thoughts on Meek Mill's album. Later.
