00:00So obviously, this new show is called The Next Chapter.
00:03So I have to ask, what is your next chapter?
00:06That's a good question.
00:09Man, nobody's asked me that.
00:11And you're one of the OGs.
00:13So, you know, you've focused on.
00:18No, I think truly my next chapter is really taking all the experiences and challenges
00:27and conversations and all the things that I've gone through over the years since this
00:35started and finding myself through it all.
00:40I think now I'm ready to use that and not.
00:49I always kind of felt so silly being like, I'm a 22-year-old person, even though I have
00:54a lot of crazy life experience.
00:57I'm still just a kid, really.
01:01And I feel like I'm finally at a point where I'm like, no, you've lived a lot.
01:08So now use it.
01:09What are you going to do with it?
01:11And I'm not sure what that is yet.
01:14But I think that's what my next chapter is, figuring out how to use the past.
01:20You know, you've been on the show for quite a while, since the beginning.
01:26Bentley is now, I think, what is he, 12, 11?
01:30He will be 14 next month.
01:32Oh, my God.
01:33All right.
01:33All right.
01:33That's crazy.
01:36So 14 years old, how does he feel being on the show?
01:40Because I'm always curious about that.
01:42When the kids get older, they're in like a high school environment.
01:45It's probably a lot different than it used to be.
01:47Is he okay still being on the show?
01:51Like, do you guys have conversations about that?
01:54Yeah.
01:55Honestly, I think because he was born on TV, and it's part of his life, it's normal for us.
02:06But in the same token, all three of my kids, but especially Bentley, know that, like, if they don't want to film, they're not filming.
02:18If they don't want to even wear a microphone, they're not wearing a microphone.
02:22And those boundaries have always been respected with production and everything.
02:26It's actually never been an issue, ever.
02:31So I know as long as the decision is left to them, they're fine with it.
02:40Yeah.
02:41That's good.
02:43Obviously, some people have come and gone over the years.
02:45You're still with the show, which, you know, fans are happy about.
02:49But is there ever a stopping point for you, or are you just going to, you know, see, take it day by day?
02:59In the past, I feel like probably four or five years ago, I was like, you know, I'm just so over this.
03:07Like, I just don't want to do it anymore.
03:09And then, like, I don't want to be recognized.
03:11I don't want to deal with it.
03:14But then I quickly realized that people will still recognize me.
03:22It's on Netflix now.
03:24I've just been doing it for so long now.
03:26So that went out the window.
03:30Every season, I do think about it a lot.
03:35And I'm not one to, like, never say never.
03:40I just know that for me, as long as I feel like there's a purpose for it and a reason to share my story and put myself out there, put my family out there,
03:55then I'm going to take that opportunity.
03:58And the second that there is no purpose and there is no true, like, genuine, solid reason behind it, then I'll walk away.
04:13You're not there yet.
04:15No, not yet.
04:16But not to say, you know, three months.
04:18Which is a good day.
04:19I mean, I'm not trying to, like, you know, get you to leave or anything.
04:23I'm just, you know, I like to ask, you know, those who have been on it for so long.
04:28Yeah.
04:30No, it's a good question.
04:31And it is something that is thought about and talked about on a regular basis.
04:37Yeah.
04:38So it's not, it's a very fair question.
04:41Yeah.
04:41Well, we hope it's a long time from now.
04:43I just had to ask.
04:44But obviously a big part of your story in the past has been your ex, Ryan, his family, et cetera.
04:52They're no longer on the show as far as we have seen.
04:55Is there any, will they be in this next chapter at all?
05:00Or is that still up for debate?
05:02Honestly, I don't know if they will.
05:05I know it's like a big thing, like Macy got them fired or something.
05:08Right.
05:09Yeah.
05:09Like, I wish I had that kind of power.
05:12Yeah.
05:13You and I have talked about that before.
05:14Yeah.
05:14Um, but no, truly, I don't know if they are.
05:20I'm under the impression that they're not mainly because I haven't filmed any.
05:26You know about it.
05:26Yeah.
05:27Yeah.
05:27Like, I feel like it would probably be, um, a storyline we'll call it.
05:33Um, I don't know.
05:35I, I don't think so, but I, I truly do not know.
05:38Has your, um, co-parenting relationship with Ryan improved at all?
05:43No.
05:44Um, and truth be told, that's honestly one of the, for me, one of the positive things about
05:50him no longer being a part of the show because like, I don't even have his phone number.
05:56I couldn't tell you the last time I spoke words to him, saw him even when he was a part of
06:02he was a part of the show.
06:03It's like, it's like a forced relationship.
06:05No relationship.
06:06Yeah.
06:06Like there is no relationship.
06:08And it's like, we're sitting here having to like, talk about each other.
06:11Like, like, like we talk to each other.
06:15Yeah.
06:15So, um, yeah, no, it hasn't changed at all.
06:19There, you truly haven't had a relationship at all in probably four years.
06:24And what about Bentley?
06:25I know he was working on sort of seeing Ryan in a previous season of T-Mama OG.
06:31Has there been any movement there?
06:32Is it still kind of the same?
06:34Um, I would say it's still kind of the same.
06:36I think, I mean, Bentley is still in therapy and still doing fantastic and, and working
06:43on himself and all the things.
06:46But, um, I think he's at this point kind of come to realize that like that, that way of
06:54building the relationship with Ryan is probably not going to happen.
06:59Um, but the ball is in Ryan's court.
07:02And it will remain.
07:06All right.
07:06Uh, you have also talked in the past about, um, possibly having more kids with Taylor in
07:13the form of whether it's adoption or anything like that.
07:16Um, do you guys still discuss that?
07:19Um, okay.
07:20Well, that's, that's one thing you probably just have to wait and watch the show.
07:25That's something that's going to fall.
07:26That's one thing.
07:27It'll give it all away.
07:28Okay.
07:29All right.
07:29Well, that's exciting.
07:30Um, do you know, um, if Farrah was ever a factor to be on this show?
07:37I don't know, actually.
07:39I'm just curious about that.
07:40Cause she's, you know, one of the main, um, Teen Mom OG stars.
07:45That's not on it.
07:46I don't know.
07:48Okay.
07:48Um, and do you have any thoughts about Kaylin Lowry not joining?
07:54Are you close with her?
07:56Um, we have a good relationship and have always been friends.
08:02It's not like my relationship with like Amber or Kate or Cheyenne, but, um, I would definitely
08:08say she was one of the close girls I was closest to from Teen Mom too.
08:13Um, but I mean, I feel like it's unfortunate because I feel like she has a lot going on and
08:25a lot that people can benefit from watching her story.
08:30But, um, also anytime, like when Chelsea, um, decided to leave the show and then Kayle, I
08:39mean, I support them a hundred percent and I get it.
08:41Like I, I a hundred percent understand that decision and why sometimes I'm very jealous
08:48of it, but, but I mean, I do feel like it's a loss.
08:54I think with Kayle not being on the show, I do feel like we're a lot, we're all missing
08:59out on, on it, but I, I don't want her to just come back because of that.
09:07Yeah.
09:08She has to do what's right for her.
09:09Right.
09:10Yeah.
09:10Um, what else can you tease about your storyline this season?
09:13I know you talked a little bit, we'll get some intel on possibly growing your family.
09:18Um, what else, you know, can fans look forward to?
09:21Um, so I, for the first time, I think since I've been on TV, I feel like I've usually like
09:27strayed away from controversial things, political things.
09:34Um, and truth be told for a long time, that wasn't necessarily, those things weren't necessarily
09:41a part of my everyday life.
09:43So it makes sense that it wouldn't have been talked about or even thought about.
09:50Um, but on this season, I feel like I truly am trying to, um, number one, as parents,
10:02like no one knows what they're doing.
10:03No one has a freaking clue.
10:05We're just trying to do the best we can.
10:07But I think with, with the world we live in today, there are so many conversations that
10:12I'm like, man, we need to talk to our kids about this, but how do you talk to them?
10:15How do you do this?
10:17Like, Hey, I'm still ignorant.
10:19Pick me type of thing.
10:21But nobody really wants to do that.
10:24I have yet to see a parent have a conversation with a child on TV where I'm like, Oh my God,
10:30that's now I know, like, I'm going to take that as a tool or now I know how not to do
10:35it.
10:36Um, and so Taylor and I, you really, we have a lot of very important, but also very difficult
10:45and, um, awkward conversations with our kids.
10:49And we hope that it just kind of opens conversations everywhere.
10:55And we'll see you next time.
