00:00Well, speaking of family, your honorary godchild, Miley Cyrus, and her sister Noah Cyrus covered Jolene during New Year's Eve.
00:09I was wondering your take on that.
00:11What did you think?
00:12Well, first of all, Miley's been singing that for years, and she did the 25th anniversary.
00:18We filmed that at Dollywood years ago.
00:21And then Noah is a fantastic singer.
00:24And I just think the two of them together are just incredible.
00:27Noah's been having a lot of good success of her own.
00:32And so they're all so talented, Billy and his kids.
00:35And I just think they're both great.
00:37So I was real honored that they still take the time to sing my song.
00:42They love Jolene, and it's worked out really good for them and for me.
00:47But they sound great together.
00:48I was thinking, because I'm the music editor also.
00:53I love cakes.
00:55But Record Store Day is coming up in a couple months, and it might be a little, maybe a little too late for them to make it this time.
01:04But if, like, Miley and Noah were to record Jolene as maybe like a Charity 45 with, you know, all the proceeds going to Imagination Library, what do you think should be the B-side?
01:17Like, which one of your songs would you love to hear them sing on?
01:21Well, probably I Will Always Love You because Jolene and I Will Always Love You, I wrote at the same time.
01:27I didn't even realize that until years later, and they are both on the same album.
01:32They're on the Jolene album, I Will Always Love You.
01:35I was on that, and we released that, you know, one came out and then the other.
01:39But I think that would be a good A and B-side because those are two of my very biggest songs.
01:45We'll have to make this happen.
01:47I think that would be great.
01:48Yeah, well, we might.
01:48Yeah, they'd sing that great, too, I bet.
