00:00Let's talk about that two-day visit to India by President Putin.

00:05Was it a success and what came out of it?

00:07I don't think so having me on the show.

00:09I think the visit was quite a success for India

00:13because you understand that the compulsions that the world is facing right now

00:17and India is one of those countries that has been quite affected by the tariffs

00:23to be directly, to be honest, on the front.

00:26But what happened with Putin coming to India,

00:28it was a remarkable visit for the Indian diplomacy

00:31and in a way that it affected,

00:33it showed the balanced nature of India's outreach in the world.

00:38And what Putin brought to the Indian table was quite remarkable

00:41and I think the visit concluded quite successfully

00:45because India had an economic partnership for 2030.

00:49They managed that they are, they assured that their trade,

00:53which is now the most important conflicting issue right now,

00:56that they are going to raise it to $200 billion.

01:00And there were a lot of exchanges.

01:02There were 16 MOUs that were signed through with the government

01:04and 14 on the private partnerships.

01:08And there is that President Putin has offered India

01:10an uninterrupted supply of the fuel,

01:13which there was no such open,

01:16sorry, not open such agreement on those fronts.

01:18But yes, he has given that hope to India,

01:22that he is open to giving all sorts of the energy security

01:26that India is looking for.

01:27And in terms of the defence,

01:29that was a bit of a disappointing point

01:31because there were a lot of the understandings

01:34and a lot of the optimism that there will be a strong defence deal

01:39between the two leaders.

01:40But on the defence front,

01:41we didn't hear anything much on that

01:43since maybe in the power corridors,

01:46it could be that defence is one of the important issues

01:50that could not go well with the United States as of now.

01:54Maybe that has been shadowed in this front.

01:57But economically, yes,

01:58it was a good and a successful visit

02:01because they had a mobility agreement

02:02where skilled and non-secured workers from India

02:05can go to the United States.

02:07You know that,

02:08but there is one of the issues

02:10that is about that they will not be enrolled for the defence.

02:12India is already having some of the issues with it

02:15because some of the Indian people who went to Russia,

02:18they were enrolled for the military

02:20and some of them are missing.

02:22And I think the reports are true

02:24and MEA has once stated that

02:26one of them has been killed on the Ukrainian front.

02:29So they are quite obvious in that front

02:31that their people should not be sent to the Ukrainian front.

02:35But overall,

02:37the visit has been quite successful.

02:39It looks confident,

02:40it looks bold

02:41and it looked like a statement

02:43that the two leaders sent to the world

02:46that the Russia-India,

02:48the Russia-India partnership is always strong,

02:50it is strategic,

02:51it's important

02:52and for both the countries,

02:54it is very, very good.
