The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is ready to share information and conduct joint operations with the Malaysian Checkpoints and Border Agency (AKPS) to strengthen efforts to combat corruption and misconduct.
Its chief commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki said the cooperation is part of the agency's initiatives and full support for the leadership of AKPS director-general Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain in implementing 'internal cleansing' and strengthening the agency's integrity.
00:00Tan Sri, regarding the recent arrest of MCBA, AKPS officer in Johor, by AKPS itself, I'm wondering if MACC has any way forward looking at how AKPS is now taking action?
00:17It's not about our way forward. Actually, I salute and respect Datuk Siswa Ali of his way forward in cleaning up AKPS because AKPS has to be reminded that it comprise many agencies including immigration, customs and others.
01:03And how will MACC support Datuk Sri Ali?
01:06We will support in terms of sharing information, doing joint operation dan sebagainya.
