00:00And moving on to another chapter closed, the Dr. Phil show will be going off the air after 21
00:05seasons. Dr. Phil McGraw announced his namesake talk show that began in 2002 would come to an end
00:11as he's been hosting two podcasts and working as a producer of scripted primetime programming in
00:16recent years. The beloved psychologist told fans, I've been blessed with over 25 wonderful years in
00:21daytime television. With this show, we have helped thousands of guests and millions of viewers
00:26through everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising children. This has
00:31been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I'm moving on from daytime, there is so
00:36much more I wish to do. The show airs daily Monday through Friday, so hopefully with Phil's new free
00:42time, the 72-year-old can take some time to enjoy himself. Maybe golf? All those years of being
00:48pussed out on TV by angsty teens who hate their parents has got to take a toll.
